Did Garon even care when Arete and Azura was being absued by Theresa and Liselotte? If so what would he have done aside from the massacre?

I attribute a lot of Garon’s inaction to the fact he was not lucid half the time, and Theresa and her allies were very good at gaslighting him. Liselotte had to learn that behavior from somewhere.

Hey did Jeremiah, Thomas and Liselotte ever bonded?

Not very much. Jerry disliked Consort Theresa, so that extended to her children, although because they were children, he was very indifferent to them. Liselotte might have gotten some scorn from him for her history of bullying the other children, but otherwise, he found them unremarkable.

Hey can describe how horrible Azura's childhood was in Nohr like how in Saizo and Azura support where Azura said noble children picked on her.

Azura was frequently harassed by many members of Garon’s court on account of being Arete’s daughter with nebulous relations and not aligning with any major political factions.

In the grand scheme of things, Azura and her mother couldn’t have prevented this if they wanted to. At the time, House Durand and Albrand were the biggest two factions in the royal court. House Minett, who sponsored her mother’s ascendance to consort, was not yet considered a major noble house. Damian and Camilla, who grew up in similar circumstances to Azura, were becoming untouchable powerhouses with age. So Azura, the youngest independently sponsored royal child at the time, was easy pickings in the eyes of these nobles and their children who copied their parents.

No one dared to do anything as flagrant as what had already happened to Damian, so it was all about small acts that would build up over time. They’d intentionally mistake Azura for a servant girl because she didn’t look “Nohrian” enough to be a royal child, resulting in all kinds of things thrown at her because she would either refuse to follow orders or she didn’t do them well enough. They’d “accidentally” lock her in small rooms or shut her outside the castle grounds whenever she went outside then get blamed for causing panic in the castle over her absence. Some would go too far resulting in incidents like Liselotte feeding Azura pastries laden with broken glass and the canonical incident that left Azura with a bad scar she has covered up.

Are the specific noble individuals who hurt Azura then alive in the present? I’d like to think they aren’t, either because they eventually died in battle as a result of their own hubris, or members of House Minett did eventually kill them because those same people who hurt Azura likely went after Camilla and Damian, too.

What do you mean when you said House Albrand was split up. Do you mean a Main Albrand House and a Branch House

A large noble family like Albrand has multiple branches as well as vassal houses to contend with amongst themselves, so that’s a bunch of lesser factions capable of banding together and causing absolute havoc on each other. So think lots of cousins fighting each other because their parents say so, or they just don’t like whoever’s sitting on the throne.

Hey csn you talk about the cult of Kleo

The general people of Nohr worship Kleo and her four children, know a little bit about the great calamity that wiped all Vallite presence on the surface, and are pretty accepting about this piece of history, believing all Vallites and their direct work to be gone for good. Life moved on without them, and better to look to the future than dwell on the past.

Then there’s the extremists who are obsessed with everything Valla. There’s always been people throughout history who believed that the Kleo could be revived, especially because Vallites have been documented to practice necromancy. There’s been many reasons for people to go looking for clues about the secret to necromancy and ancient Vallite magic, from the possibility of bringing back loved ones, the lure of power and strength in numbers, and of course, who wants to live forever?

So... the Cult of Kleo isn’t exactly some big long running organization of sleeper cells that’s been around for a long time. They’re just a name with some significance but varying effectiveness throughout the years. Imagine... every century or so, there’s someone who comes across the research and rallies a bunch of followers to join them on a wild goose chase for Vallites. Sometimes they’re complete jokes, sometimes they actually were dangerous. Not every version of the cult has the same motivations or origins.The cult Nyx came from is not the same as the cult Jeremiah and Iago worked in, even though Jeremiah relied on Nyx’s research.

If I had to be honest, the cult of Kleo of the present story is classified as one of the more dangerous incarnations because of actual presence of Vallites on the continent, and Anankos masquerading around as a human and helping anyone remotely interested in Vallite magic.

What kind of tournaments did Nohr and Hoshido have and were all the Royal children there?

Both Hoshido and Nohr popularized the use of tournaments as proxies for competing factions in place of costly, massive wars, but being two different nations, they are formatted and conducted differently.

For Nohr, it’s simply part of the Nohrian culture to celebrate displays of power and skill, so tournaments were often the main event for big celebrations or festivals. Usually the prize was a lot of money and a couple extra privileges, but the more serious ones like the ones hosted by noble clans and the royal family had higher stakes such as becoming an official retainer or deciding the official ordering of the major noble families. One on one battles (or duos) were favored where the rules can be as lax as “pummel the opponent until they’re out cold” or stricter like “force the opponent out of the drawn circle.”

In Hoshido, tournaments were usually exhibition competitions between different schools and practices where the main prize was usually prestige and patronage of the noble clans. Such events were not normally public affairs and were usually only attended by the nobility and fellow practitioners of the contested art. These private tournaments were incredibly formal with a lot of focus on the contestants’ form and ability to stay disciplined under pressure. The only tournaments actually attended by the public are those hosted by the ruling clan in the capital for important occasions such as the ascension of a new king or the coming of age of a royal child. Such tournaments have similar rules to the ones in Nohr since a wider variety of people can enter.

Tournaments can have varying qualifications, whether it’s just within a noble clan, a region, the entire nation, or just an open tournament. Royalty weren’t always expected to attend or participate if the tournament wasn’t held in their honor, but it was a nice change of pace when they did show up. In Nohr’s case, participants could potentially skip all the formal training and get hired by the royal guard, and in Hoshido’s case, one could advertise their own practice and gain new students (maybe royal ones) that way.

Hey could compare The Britannia Imperial Siblings with all the royals? Meaning like who is like this person and rivals.

It’s been years since I watched Code Geass in its entirety, which is weird bc I’ve been meaning to watch the recent movie, so I’m probably not all that accurate and I don’t remember a whole lot of the family aside from the main ones.

Diantha was directly inspired by Euphie from looks to personality. What probably makes her different is that she is the eldest sister of the family. I don’t know who in the family Xander and Marius would be like, although you can draw direct comparisons from Mars to Gino Weinberg if you’re really desperate. Xander is difficult to pin down because he isn’t complacent about his position like Odysseus was and he isn’t as cold and calculating as Schneizel is.

Jeremiah has most similarities to Lelouch because he lost his mother to political infighting and is the byronic hero of his own story, willing to do cruel things for survival but constantly grappling with the weight of his actions, ends up dying to achieve his final act of compassion/cruelty. Roswitha is more or less just Cornelia with a different coat of paint, a very strong minded patriot with military ambitions who struggles with empathy for the common person.

Damian is an odd one, because he has surface level similarities to Lelouch (commoner mother who died bc deadly politics and is the rebel of the family), but he isn’t as willing to be cruel to get what he wants. Comparing Camilla to Cornelia would be too easy, but all of them do like to dote on their younger siblings and are capable of being ruthless. In the end, they’d lean more into Lelouch’s camp simply because they didn’t have as easy upbringings as Cornelia did.

Liselotte is most similar to Carine, a young brat with an inclination for violence and bullying the weaker siblings. Thomas would be similar to Nunnally if only Liselotte actually had any sisterly love for him in the first place. Although Mila never grew up, I’d speculate they’d be like Clovis because they’d be a big, extravagant fashion icon.

I think many before have compared Leo to Lelouch, although I think he’s most like Schneizel because he has pragmatic literally in his official description and he would never stand up to Garon on behalf of his mother, who is hilariously named Marianne. Elise is most like Euphemia within the story because she has a hard time finding her place in the family beyond being the baby.

Anri’s dilemma is essentially Suzaku’s dilemma. The changes to Chapter 5 so that Anri would kill his mother instead of simply bringing a cursed sword that kills her probably were inspired by Suzaku’s arc of dealing with the guilt of killing his father while slowly doubling down on his “ends justify the means” mindset when his kindness starts getting tested. Before the events of the story, Anri is the Nunnally of the family. He’s kept in the castle on the pretense of health issues and is essentially the morality pet for his siblings. Also like Nunnally, he’s most determined to take advantage of whatever little political capital he has to end the war with minimal bloodshed but is easily swayed by his older siblings’ advice and motivations.

This AU’s Azura is a mix of C.C. and Lelouch, has mythological powers, is involved in a plot for revenge against the big evil king/dragon, makes calculating decisions to get what she wants at the expense of her family. Her conflict with Anri mirrors the conflict of ideals between Lelouch and Suzaku and she starts redeveloping her appreciation for normal man because of Anri and whichever family she follows Anri to.

As for the Hoshidan family, I’d say they’re more easy to find comparisons for. Hinoka and Ryoma’s characters are direct parallels to Cornelia, very patriotic, loses a beloved, maybe possessed sibling in a military conflict, and initially doesn’t have empathy for foreign nations. They branch off from there as Ryoma starts having reservations about the notion that Hoshido was in the right early on, and Hinoka gets nearly manipulated into going off the deep end before she starts questioning herself.

Takumi would not get along with Clovis at all, but they have similarities as they lean on the younger side of the royal family, start off as snobs with a disdain for anyone who isn’t Britannian/Hoshidan. What makes Takumi different is that he possess some self awareness to what he could be doing wrong and has room for change. Sakura is most similar to Euphemia mostly because like Elise, she struggles with getting taken seriously by her older siblings.
