when atlas looks at the moon, he thinks about what little he knows about muggles - the fact that they made it to the moon. the idea is appealing; surely blood purity couldn’t survive three hundred and eighty five thousand kilometres away. it also brings up another question: could a wizard apparate to the moon? and if a wizard could do it, he wonders if other magical creatures could; and his thoughts get caught in a downward spiral from there until he’s wondering if the squid could teleport to the moon.

Alecto and Remus had been at the quidditch pitch for what seemed like hours. And Remus was still no closer to successfully getting on the broom than he had been when they started. He could feel the desperation on both sides to finally seeing some sort of a progress. Alecto was the best on the field and so he understood the frustration that even she was having difficulty teaching the young Gryffindor what their professors had failed to do. His hopes, at this point, were not exactly high. They were closer to the ground, as steady as his feet which were not floating in the sky as he should have been at this point. 

“Up!” he stated, arm stretched out for the broom to rise into his hand. Doubtful this time would work the young man closed his eyes, nevertheless hopeful. Again, he stated the command, “Up!” And that was the moment he felt the wooden stick in his hand. A soft smile slipped across his lips, pride. Though it did not last long for only moments later he knew he would have to sit down upon the broom. Yikes. That was when the young man shared one of his closest beliefs, muttered under his breath. “Happy endings are just stories that haven’t finished yet.” For he feared what would come next: flying.

It’s really pretty difficult to make Florence nervous. It’s a mixture of optimism and stupidity, but she doesn’t read negative auras very well. Anything ill-intentioned thrown her way is kind of written off as meant another way or something said in carelessness and not meant. The only real way to make her experience any sort of negative emotion is to harshly and constantly deny her attempts to help and brighten your day, though that’s more sadness than apprehension.

Just telling the other person. She’s quite simple, both in the straightforward and the slightly mean sense of the word. No need to add anything else to the expression besides what absolutely needs to be there.
