Alchemical Symbols!!
Hello, how are you doing today? My name is Ezra; and I’ve been practicing witchcraft for about four or five years now!! I haven’t dabbled too much in alchemy; but it was always intriguing to me. So I’m going to be posting some of my notes in the future! This picture is a photo of what I already know about Alchemy; and a quote about alchemy and magic that I found quite interesting!!
I had to look up the “definition,” I guess you’d call it, of the phrase: “The marriage of the Red King and the White Queen;” so that’s what that paraphrased blurb is at the very bottom of the page on the right!!
Also, please let me know if you cannot read my handwriting!! I tend to write very quickly, because that’s just how my brain works; but I’ll try to write a little neater next time around!!
I hope all who have read this far on my post has a wonderful day, and may everyone you know and/or love be blessed with good luck!!
Bye-bye!!
Lost Notes
Mutagent #23 (Test Trial #346) Conducted by M. Park.
Oct. 23rd
Thirteen months and I’m no closer to an answer. It feels like she’s asking the impossible of me. Or maybe I’m just not seeing the point of a mutagent. Not when she has an empire of narcotics. It’s counterproductive: all these samples and tests. I try not to think about the money I’ve burned through from all the reagents, much less the rats who’ve the misfortune of falling into my hands. I’ve stopped giving them names. They’re never around long enough for it to matter. Should rats matter? I don’t know… Feels like I don’t know a lot these days. Maybe I’m losing my touch.
The rats respond well to the addition of Rain Poppy to the mixture. Seemed to ease their primordial rage induced by the Gromsblood- if only for a short time. I guess I could count that as progress. Perhaps adding a touch more will have a lasting effect?
(♏︎🝮 ) 13℥ Gromsblood + 14 🜹 * + 10℥🜖 + 🜄 4 ♂2 ⊛4 → ( ♈︎🝮 ♋︎ 4🝮 ♏︎ 2🝮 )26℥ Poppy Seeds + ( ♋︎ 🝮 ♏︎ 4🝮 )14℥ Rose Madder + 8℥ Potassium → (♏︎🝮 ) 18℥ Ragveil + ( ♋︎ 2🝮 ) 13℥ Sea Stalk + 10℥ ☿
It’ll be hard to come by more Rain Poppy. Imported goods are becoming more and more sparse these days. Though, I believe doubling the dose will suffice to temper the rat’s feral impulses. Works will enough for a barbiturate, perhaps it’s work here as well. If I’m lucky, it’ll also supplement their immune system; though luck is ever rarely on my side. Suppose I could add a touch of Golden Clover to the mix...But that’d throw off the balance of things.
This is a decent place to start.
Observation Entry #1 Test Trial #346: Poppy seeds give off fumes when distilled and extracted in surplus. It’s in best practice to wear a mask...I’ll have to ask Vallory for a mask once the room stops spinning. Did you know you could visualize the capillary of a sea stalk by staring at its roots?
No. Wait. That’s the Poppy talking again.
Observation Entry #2 Test Trial #346: Two hours is far too long to let Sea Stalks dissolve in an Epson-salt solution. The damn things have congealed on me. A single hour is too short, though. Not nearly enough time to extract the minerals from the cellulose. An hour and a half maybe?
Observation Entry #3 Test Trial #346: Just...Fuck me.
Observation Entry #3 Test Trial #346: Unexpected kickback. A rancid froth has boiled over the surface and calcified the entire solution. It’s absolute shit now. The calculation is off somewhere.

Why would you add more FUCKING POT

Get right, idiot.

Observation Entry #4 Test Trial #346: Sixteen hours later and the solution is stable, albeit with more viscosity than I intended. Administering it through injection seems mute at this point. Looks like I’m baiting the rats with cheese again. I hate poisoning their food. They’ve taken well to the first dose. More alert. Less anxious than the last test group. Certainly not dead yet. I’ll begin monitoring their behavior cycle in the morning later this afternoon. Strength and intellect tests will come later this week. For now, we’ll let things rest and see how they progress.
An Excerpt from the notebooks of one Bridget Baker -- Hermetic Alchemist
Heart/Lungs; Sanguis; Air; Sweet/Spicy; Warm and Wet; Testosterone/Progesterone; Presence, Protean, Blood Sorcery
Often lungs are more favorable to Presence based brews while the heart is extremely useful (often necessary) for the production of Blood Magic counterfeits, especially those from the Assamite Path of Quietus
Brain (Pituitary Gland and Hypothalamus); Phlegm; Water; Sour; Cold and Wet; Variety of Hormones especially those produced by the noted Pituitary Gland and Hypothalamus, also usable is the actual build-up of mucus in the human Lung. Hormonal sources are notably inhibited by fluoride (do not use most tap waters with Phlegmatic formulae, unless supplemented with large amounts of True Phlegm); Auspex, Dominate, Animalism
Gall Bladder/Liver; (Yellow) Bile; Fire; Smoky/Salty; Warm and Dry; Adrenaline; Celerity, Potence (Low amount of experimentation with relevant formulae)
Spleen/Stomach; Melange/Black Bile; Earth; Minty/Bitter; Cold and Dry; Thyroid Hormones/Iodine; Fortitude, Obfuscate, Oblivion
I’ve already cried my nerd tears over the Kim Manners reference, as I think we have all, but between the solar emblem in gold over the door, the black and white framework and the touch of red on the side, I think I need to scream with @winchestersingerautorepair a bit.
Alchemical discussion
So I know people are often confused and I struggle on where to begin since I kind of dive into late hermetic arts when I discuss.
So I went looking for beginners primers to sort of ground the basic discussion points. It may seem to drag on but it does discuss the three principles I’ve talked about in regards to Team Free Will and subjective vs objective reality/false realities, souls, consciousness and cosmoconception.
Lemme know if this helps you all or you have resulting questions, I may just drop a few basic primers over the next few weeks even if they aren’t immediately attached to SPN meta to see if people can grok it more. He also has a small playlist (x), though I haven’t watched it all. I’m just trying to find sort of ground level discussion to feed people. The first video seems to be accurate so far and communicated in a way hopefully people will get.
personal reference note, incomplete and won’t make sense sorry just need to remember it
- mishnah, spring water --> living water + ritual purification + divinity (???) - alchemy; water alignment = cold, wet - living water completely embodies celestial salt under prima materia
Basic Alchemy Concepts
Alchemy, a blend of science, philosophy and spirituality that was a precursor to Chemistry, is formally defined as: a form of chemistry and speculative philosophy practiced in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance and concerned principally with discovering methods for transmuting baser metals into gold and with finding a universal solvent and an elixir of life. Essentially, alchemists were trying to turn lesser metals into gold, find a universal solvent, and live indefinitely.
There are Three Essentials in Alchemy, Salt, Mercury, and Sulfur. These, however, are not 'Mercury', 'Salt', and 'Sulfur' in the typical sense. Mercury is the spirit of any object (animal, vegetable, or mineral). Sulfur is the soul or consciousness of any object; some are more conscious than others. Salt is the body of any object.
Uses of Alchemy include:
Dying and making artificial gemstones, pearls, silver and gold.
Making an 'Elixir of Life' to extend life.
Calcination, Dissolution, Separation, Conjunction, Fermentation, Distillation, Coagulation.
