im having a really terrible day health wise but i cant take my pain meds bc my nausea is so bad and the oramorph makes my nausea so much worse. but my nausea is partly from pain. so???

also mentally not doing amazing - im currently waiting to find out if my cancer is back or not and its so draining. i feel like the limbo is worse than ‘its back you need more chemo’ or ’its not back so you don’t have the potential to die from this but your bad reaction to chemo has in fact fucked you up for life’ and i hate it. its so mentally exhausting to be paused on the precipice of two types of doom and not knowing which will be worse long term to receive. and its so frustrating to feel not only paused in life, but actively rotting away while it feels like everyone around me is moving on in life and doing well and loving and working and celebrating and experiencing life and im… not. remission and this period of ‘omg it might be back’ have been so much harder than active treatment.

i do love my oncologist though and im so grateful for the NHS. i fucking hate the hair regrowth tho lol, losing my hair was far less traumatic than my hair growing back wrong and yet i wasn’t once warned on any site or leaflet about how wild it is to look in the mirror once you are in remission and your hair is growing back and not even slightly look like myself. after meds and weight gain/weight loss/weight gain, bald then the weird wrong colour/wrong texture hair, scars, discoloration, and everything else i feel unrecognisable.
