nature photography below the cut
Noriwen and Alcunar……
the girl called to the gryphons🥰
I know I said I didn't want post spoilers but I need to talk about the biggest gryphon I've ever seen in my Life that nearly brought me to tears during our dungeon run
LOOK AT HIM.... HER.... THEM... I DONT REMEMBER
HUGE
"Alcunar" if I'm remembering correctly (NPC tag wasn't working for the pts run)
Al: glorious, high, great
Cu doesn't seem to have any concrete translation but is often used to mean Fruit within other words
-nar seems to be a generic suffix added to words. Sunnar, Welkynar, Dynar.
But Alcunar is close in pronunciation to Welkynar even if the spelling is off, so maybe it's taking the Kyn to mean child? Glorious child? Glorious fruit?
Whatever it's name is, that is in fact one glorious bird 😭😭😭
So Alcunar survives both boss fights in Lep Seclusa, and clearly has enough loyalty and intelligence to know to go to Orpheon's side even after his mother/trainer Noriwen dies in front of him.
And I don't have evidence of this but I swear in the dungeon preview stream they implied the characters from those dungeons that survived could maybe return someday.
BIG BABY BIRD RETURN MAYBE SOMEDAY PLEASE 🥺
