Isami x Reader

Title: Valentines Day Fluff No Warning

Isami couldn’t hide the small smile on his face every time that he saw you. He couldn’t help but admire you in every aspect, and he knew he was in love. Though you seemed so far out of reach, you would have been better paired with his older brother. He wanted to talk to you, but how could he when you were always surrounded by guys.

“You are staring at her again..” Takumi said and Isami turned to his brother before looking at you again. You all were waiting to board the train, and you looked to be shaking from being cold. Despite the thick coat you had on.

“I can’t help it.” He said and Takumi shocked his head slightly.

“Why don’t you make her something for Valentine’s Day?” Takumi offered and Isami thought about it before nodding his head.

“Well if I can’t get to her in person, maybe through food.”

“Exactly. Let me know if you need help...”

“I will Nii-Chan.” Isami decided to head back home, so he could make something perfect. He had no idea what to make you for Valentine’s day but he had less than 24 hours before Valentine’s day hit. He sat at the table, he wanted something that would convey his feelings to you. How could he do that, chocolates were overrated... flowers and stuffed animals were too.

He continued to think before deciding on a Strawberry Icebox cake, with some Italian Valentine’s day tarts. It would be perfect, chocolate and strawberries but in a different style. He began to get to work pouring his heart and soul into the cooking. Takumi came into the kitchen and saw what his brother was making and smiled. That was a good choice, and decided to leave since he wasn’t needed in the kitchen.

Takumi was worried that you would reject Isami though, since you were so popular. He just hoped you would accept the food Isami made. Takumi never saw Isami so in love with someone, and was happy for his brother. It was just the matter of your answer and if you accepted his feelings.

Isami worked hard and soon finished the desserts. He grabbed a box and placed the desserts in and leaned against the counter. How was he going to confess to you? Would he just confess? Or just hand you the desserts? Should he write a letter? He ruffled his hair and looked at the clock before at the mess in the kitchen.

He didn’t realize it but he looked at all the mess ups he did before finally being satisfied. He began to clean up the kitchen, making sure it was spotless. He looked at the clock, he had an hour before class, and decided to get ready for the day. Takumi came out of his room, and looked at Takumi who looked nervous.

“Did you sleep any?” Takumi asked and Isami shook his head.

“I just finished the desserts. I wanted it to be perfect...”

“Seriously?”

“I will be fine, I will feel better once she actually accepts it.” He said and Takumi frowned but nodded his head. Isami finished getting ready before going to grab the box of desserts. He walked to school beside his brother and even though it didn’t show on his face, he was nervous. He saw you not far ahead and Takumi nodded his head to his brother.

“Catch up with her...” Isami nodded and rushed to your side, you blinked and looked over to see Isami.

“Good morning Isami...”

“Good morning (Y/N)... Happy Valentine’s day.”

“Ah Happy Valentine’s Day.” You said with a smile before inhaling the crisp air.

“Did you... receive any chocolates or anything from other guys?” He asked and you looked at him shaking your head.

“No, not yet. Though I don’t mind if I don’t.” You said.

“Well... please... accept these desserts...” He said handing the box.

“E-Eh? For me?” You asked shocked and he nodded.

“Yeah, I made these for you. I worked so hard on them pouring my feelings out into these desserts. I really like you... a lot I have for awhile now. I know I am probably out of your reach but I...mmf...” You cut him off by pressing your lips to his, Takumi witnessed the entire scene and was shocked. You pulled away with a small blush on your cheeks and you looked away.

“I... didn’t think you noticed me.. Or you didn’t share my feelings.” You said and he blinked several times...”

“You... like me?” You nodded with a wide smile, and Isami couldn’t help but smile widely as well. He opened the box and you looked in, and it looked amazing.

“Oh wow... it looks so good.” You said and he took a tart out first and held it out. You took it and bit into it, it was... amazing. You could taste the chocolate, and the tart dough, he then took a piece of cake on the plastic fork he had in the box and held it. You looked at him with a small blush and took it in your mouth.

“How does it taste?” He asked and you could literally taste all the love he poured into these desserts. You didn’t want desserts from anyone else.

“It’s amazing...” You said and he smiled and he leaned down and kissed your lips again feeling a bit more confident.

“Does this mean you will be mine?”

“Of course, I will be yours.” You smiled and hugged him tightly and he wrapped his arms around your waist holding you close. Isami saw his brother and smiled, he was truly happy. He sighed softly and kissed the top of your head before taking your hand.

“Let’s get to class (Y/N)...”

“Okay Isami.”

(A/N: I remember first watching food wars and practically hating the anime because of the...😀 I don’t think I have to continue. But honestly, this anime is way better than it seems at first glance. Like I love all the foods and cultures that are introduced. Highly recommend it, but please wear headphones and watch it alone lol. Anyways, I hope you enjoy these headcanons c: PS: the reader is a baker.)

How the characters would react to the reader being a rival (just them vs a reader that they ‘hate’) (Older Aldini twin, and Hayama,)

T. Aldini (aloof/distant/weird rival)

♡ - Takumi throughout the series never really hated anyone. The only two people I think he might hate are Subaru Mimasaka, and Etsuya Eizan. Eventually though in the series the resentment he has towards Mimasaka lessens, and in season 5 he doesn’t seem to hate Eizan but he also isn’t buddy-buddy with him.

♡ - So if you were to try to make him hate you then you would have done something way worse than to steal the mezzaluna (which I don’t think you can LMAO-).

♡ - For your sake and mine let’s just say he hates you in a competitive way like he ‘hates’ Souma.

♡ - He would try to have shokugeki with you every 5 seconds. Like my man would come up with excuses lol:

♡ - “Hey Y/N! Let’s have a shokugeki because I heard you talking about me! Huh, what do you mean it wasn’t you?! Come back here and have a shokugeki with me, you coward!”

♡ - The sole reason he hates Y/N so much is because Y/N actually got a higher grade than him in class work. And when he went ahead to congratulate you, you just stared at his hand and then deadpanned at him before you just left.

♡ - Oh he was furious. Like how dare you talk to the 7th seat this way? You should be honored that he even saw you as an equal! (Not rlly I’m exaggerating-)

♡ - Other than his fan club trying to maul you at the shokugeki you acc win lol now the fan club is really after you. You didn’t want the 7th seat so you just settled for a restraining order against his fan club so they don’t kill you.

♡ - but please you were so cool announcing your win. The actually reason you won is because you baked a traditional dish from you underrated (underrated country squad lol) native country and the judges were like W(`0`)W

♡ - It was also luck.

♡ - “Huh the seventh seat? I really don’t care about titles or hierarchy so it doesn’t really matter, but if I can chose something can I chose to file a restraining order?”

♡ - tbh tho, you would’ve accepted the seating if you were a regular normal breathing human being and not an aloof idiot.

A. Hayama (clumsy scared rival (just a Megumi)

♡ - Ah Hayama, Hayama, Hayama..He hates anyone who isn’t his mom (Jun).

♡ - How would this hatred even start? It would have been a good day. Hayama was just carrying jars full of spice and herbs. He carried them inside the building for the elite ten and him to experiment with. When all of a sudden

♡ - “WATCH OUT!”

♡ - Both of you were knocked on the floor. You were covered in flour, and your flowers, cake decorations and papers were laying all over the ground. Hayama was just covered in his spices, and his herbs on the ground. At that moment he thanked Jun for putting the spices in wooden jars.

♡ - “Huh? Sorry I wasn’t really looking and-“ You looked at the person you knocked into and you HIGHKEY almost passed out.

♡ - Just silence as other students watched you both, silently praying for you and cringing at what was to come.

♡ - “IM SORRY!” You stood up so fast and bowed. The word sorry just repeatedly falling out of your mouth like a river. He just kinda slowly stood up and just: 🧍🏽

♡ - You just went on and on about how he shouldn’t expel you and if he didn’t how your descendants would be forever in debt.

♡ - My man had to tell you to ‘Yo chill.’ For you to be like ‘Ah, I’m not expelled.’

♡ - After that you’d sometimes bump into him and he wouldn’t mind. I mean your just a dumb clumsy idiot who probably sucks at cooking.

♡ - HAHAHAH you were a Ryō blessing in disguise.

♡ - One day, a kid came along and challenged you to a shokugeki. The kid wanted your poor club for some new club/kitchen for them to practice in. (You’re club was a cake decoration club : hence the flowers and papers)

♡ - You would’ve been nicer if that kid didn’t insult you and then bully your fellow club members. Holy, after that insult you just went rampage mode. The shokugeki was something about wedding cakes (you picked the theme) and omg-

♡ - you MERCILESSLY destroyed your opponent. After defeating them you then demanded another shokugeki. The kid tried to regain their honor but lost, you then challenged the kid to ANOTHER shokugeki. Needless to say the judges were full. Each time you picked a theme that got a bit darker. The last theme (the kid was not only getting expelled but now bet on some money) was a funeral cake.

♡ - Your defeating line was:

♡ - “O-kuyami moushiagemasu (kids name)”

♡ - Hayama then decided to try challenging you. It always ended in ties and now he’s really impressed with you.

♡ - The rivalry is friendly and might even develop to a friendship.
