“I’m out” by @progettofluido, cm 171x79, graphite, oil and spray paint. The painting method used by Aldo Lurgo is based on the projection on canvas of digital collages, personally elaborated with Photoshop and then painted mostly with oil colour. Aldo’s particular interest in this practice focuses on the relationship produced betwen images and texts. The reading of the represented subjects is almost immediate, while a link of exchange gets generated between the audience and the work. In “I’m out” there is a strong relationship betwen materials: the skeleton is drawn with graphite, while Donald Duck and the texts are painted with oil. The other elements present in the composition, such as the white outline near the limit of the frame, the red section and the black censorship, are painted with spray.
