Alumina sat alone on the park bench in the dead of night. It was cold, but she wasn't shivering. In fact, Alumina was crying. It was this afternoon that the glow on her hair and eyes cut off completely, and her connection to Tony was totally severed. Tony had the Arc Reactor removed from his chest, breaking the connection between himself and Alumina. The very moment the reactor was removed, Alumina's hair and eyes stopped glowing and her technology powers disappeared.

And the worst part was that now... She no longer had a heartbeat. Alumina should be dead. But because only part of the Arc Reactor was in her human body, once the Arc Reactor was gone, the human body remained, and so did it's consciousness.

Alumina's head turned when she heard the sound of footsteps, her once glowing blue eyes now blurred by tears looking out for the one who made them.

"T-tony?" She called out into the darkness, hopeful.

"He's taken her Killian... He plans on killing your child.." Savin told Aldrich over the phone, causing him to immediately drop his phone and ran out as fast as he could, the extremis within him burning.

Tony had Alumina tied down onto the lab table, one of his lasers poised at her abdomen. He had to have her awake because he couldn't risk dying in the middle of this if she fell unconscious. Alumina was pleading with Tony, trying to appeal to his humanity somehow, but to no avail. He had just cut into her slightly rounded stomach when the entire metal wall behind Tony melted in a firey pool of anger. Tony whipped around, face to face with a very mad Aldrich Killian.

"Let her go now and I may just let you live..." Aldrich hissed but Tony narrowed his eyes.

"I cannot let your child tear my creation apart Aldrich, I have to do it to save her, you imbecile!" Tony growled but Aldrich ran up to him, grabbed his neck before he could even blink, and snapped his neck. Alumina looked up at Aldrich, her face showing a mix of fear and hope.

"A-aldrich... I'm scared..." She whispered as he released her from the restraints, putting one of his hands on her stomach.

"See...this is EXACTLY why you should've let me give you extremis.." He laughed sarcastically, putting pressure on the wound where she had been cut..

"Save her... please..."
