2. Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs?

Okay I know you were expecting me to say Eliza, my daughter, my love, my everything, but I’m actually going to go with Mib. I’ve been spending more time with both the design and background of her character, and I just… I love her. I want her to be happy, and while Eliza will always be the OC closest to my heart, I’m in love with Mib’s story. 

4. A character you rarely talk about?

Ah ha! I’ve actually never talked about this guy with you, because he’s fairly new. Introducing, Selim Lefévre! Selim is a member of a society dedicated to keeping magic a secret from the rest of the world. He grew up in the society, so he does keep the secret, but he doesn’t have any strong opinions about going public or not. He’s a chef! He uses the society’s money and resources to discover incredible new recipes and techniques for food using magic. He’s one of the few people who gets along with Scorose. A lot of people might think he’s dumb at first, since he’s so bubbly and doesn’t talk about politics, but he just prefers to stay happy. He’s actually incredibly kind and intelligent and is a true friend to Mara. 

29. Which one of your OCs would go investigate an abandoned house at night without telling anyone they’re going?

Honestly, Eliza. She would hear about this abandoned house and get so curious, she’d just leave, without a word. But when she’d get there, Mib would already be waiting for her. Eliza would say some snark about Mib being late, and they’d explore the house together. Eliza would have a fairly professional curiosity about the place, but Mib would take it upon themselves to try to scare Eliza, so Mib leaves Eliza alone at one point and does some cool tricks with her light and one of her knives, and then Mib sneaks up behind her and grabs her arm and Eliza screams, and laughs, and Mib just smiles. 

31. Pick one OC of yours and explain what their tumblr blog would be like (what they reblog, layout, anything really)

Ooh my god okay, I’m gonna go with Mara for this because I know exactly what it would look like. So Mara, my beautiful investigative journalist/innovative inventor/creative tattoo artist would have a mostly aesthetic layout, but with good navigability. A collection of beautiful tattoos, as well as science stuff about the types of ink, the designs of needles and discussions about that. It would act as both her own personal archive but also an official front for the shop. BUT she’d also post a lot of current events, but only the well researched stuff. She’d try her best to keep her followers up to date on important happenings as well as keep them satiated with beautiful tattoos. 

50. Give me the good ol’ OC talk here. Talk about anything you want.

I just… I love them so much. I feel bad sometimes because Eliza is so important to me, and I love Mib so much, but the truth is that Mara’s story is much more developed, and will probably be finished first. But I’m still in love with Eliza’s world with the rooms, and her relationship with Mib gives me life.

also, 'small hands' by the same artist is very malec, especially when paired with the breakup, from magnus's pov (I recommend a lyric video instead of the actual video if you listen to it, unless you want to cry over puppet animals then go for the actual video)
