a note on shadowhunters, the show who has given us so much

shadowhunters has always been the underdog. people criticised it for its acting, its special effects, its deviation from the books. but look at us, look how far we've come. we have voted tirelessly on online polls and live tweeted our reactions in frenzied capslock. we have refused allow the show to be overlooked, giving the show more audience interaction than the likes of game of thrones, and granting it several awards.

i've watched a lot of tv shows, been a part of many fandoms. but i can wholeheartedly say that i've never seen a fandom who is so incredibly passionate. so, whether you were there at the beginning, eagerly anticipating the casting announcements, or you joined last week, i just want to thank you for supporting this amazing show, and for giving me a home. people expected it to get cancelled after the first season but we've been blessed with two more incredible seasons. the show has only continued to grow and improve, giving us wonderful representation, storylines and characters. not to mention a lovely cast who put everything into their performances and constantly strive to give the fans what they deserve.

thank you kat. thank you harry. thank you emeraude. thank you isaiah. thank you matt. thank you dom. thank you alisha. thank you alberto. thank you todd. thank you darren. thank you to all the cast and crew, and everyone who has worked tirelessly to produce such an important show. and thank you to the fans, it's been a privilege to be in this fandom with you. i love you all.

i'm absolutely heartbroken about shadowhunters being cancelled but honestly it's so lovely to see the fandom uniting to try to save this show. we're at almost 1 million tweets in the #SaveShadowhunters tag on twitter and we trended worldwide both on twitter and tumblr. please continue to tweet and make your voices heard!! (and remember, it's more effective to make original tweets/quote others' tweets with the hashtag rather than simply retweeting. and please don't use the hashtag more than twice per tweet or it may be counted as spam). go, go, go angels!!
