Spend The Day With Me
Hey Besties, today is my husband Alejandro's 50th birthday - come spend the day with me as a mom of three-month-old son while I prepare to throw him the most amazing birthday dinner party.
Esteban started the day with an early feeding but went right back to sleep as soon as Alejandro went to work, so I let him nap while I practiced some self-care. As always, mornings are for yoga, especially when I know that the day is going to be busier than normal. And if the fact that it's yoga and not cardio bothers you, all I can say is try being a Simfluence-ah for a day. Try it.
Since he was still pretty sleepy, I was able to move him to his napping basket so I could grab a quick shower. I truly believe that what's good for him is good for me, so I use shower products made by the same small company that makes his. Elicanto Nooboo uses only all-natural, organic, gluten-free, paraben-free, low-carb, non-gmo ingredients and it's all lovingly made by hand and tentacle in Strangetown.

I had just enough time to get back downstairs and decorate before my husband called to let me know he was on his way home. Alejandro's a professor so his days are a little long sometimes but today wasn't one of those days, so I called to let everyone know to get everyone over here right away since this party was a surprise.
Of course, it wouldn't be a party in New Traddery without someone going into labor. In this case, it was my sister Ashton and honestly, I was really surprised because this was her second baby so I feel like she could have prepared. My husband's birthday is a fixed day on the calendar so it's not like we could move it, but at least now we'll have a niece that will always remember when her favorite uncle's birthday is.
But shout-out to her and her husband Craig Thomas for sticking around after the delivery so we could keep the focus on my husband for his special day.
Speaking of babies, my parents finally got to meet Estaban. Since he's a newborn, we've been really strict about who comes to the home, but now that he's three months and I've made sure that my dad washed his hands for at least 60 seconds, they're finally able to meet for the first time. My parents were able to raise six children on a freelance artist's income with only a little help from a trust fund, so they feel confident around children, but they come into contact with a lot of toxins from Dad's art supplies and they eat grilled meat so I'm still going to be careful.
Special shout-out to the chefs and staff at The Vue for not only catering our dinner party but leveraging their partnership with Simbl to send us this amazing cake. It's gluten-free, farm-to-table, made without oils, dairy, sugar, flour, milk, eggs, or cake and still only came in at 3700 calories per slice. They ship everywhere so if you want to try it, let me know in the comment and I'll send you a code.
After that, it was time for everyone to go home and for Esteban to go to bed for the night. All in all, a very good night. Don't forget to hit all the buttons and let me know if you think I should do a video with Alejandro's birthday haul!
