So Shadow... How does it feels being inside of Sonic's body? Does things (Taste, touch, view) feels different to you now?
How Does It Feel? Stifling, Like Being Forced To Constantly Inflate And Deflate These Fleshy Air Sacs Against My Will Or Else We Will Suffocate. Of Course This Body Has No Mechanism For Passive Respiration Of Any Kind. Why Would It Be Easy For Me? Sonic Says To 'Just Forget About It' Because The Body Remembers To 'Breathe' On Its Own When It Is Paid No Mind, But It's Hard To Not Focus On Such An Unfamiliar Bodily Function.
There Are Some Other Things That Irritate Me.
Sonic's Body Is Much More Difficult To Control Than My Own. More Precise. More Complex Things Going On Subconsciously. Things That...Eluded Me At First.
Walking Around On Two Legs Is Harder For Something That Has Only Known How To Squirm. Sonic Knows How To Walk Because Sonic Has Always Had Legs. Shadow Only Knows How To Walk Because Sonic Remembers What Legs Are Supposed To Do...But Knowing Is Separate From Doing.
Fingers Are…Tricky. Too Many Tiny Limbs, And They're Not As Strong. Too Little Big Limbs. Sometimes, My Original Limbs Can Still Be Felt, But They Are No Longer Present. Still Trying To Adjust. Still Trying To Memorise How Sonic Bends And Flexes Them While Watching, But It Still Needs Work. It Looks Too Stiff To Others. They Think It Is 'Uncanny'. Looks 'Creepy'. Feels 'Other'.
Sonic Cannot See The Things My Eyes Could. He Cannot See The Life Within The Living Like Me, But He Can Feel Some Of The Warmth Which Is...Close Enough.
There Are More Interesting Changes, However. Very Interesting. Humans And Mobians See Colour More Vibrantly. It Took Time To Become Accustomed To Such Brightness And Depth. My Eyes Didn't Have Much Of A Need To See Much Colour At All. There Was Some But, In Comparison, It Was Considerably More...Dull.
...This Sharp Sight Would Be Missed If It Was Lost.
And Sense Of Taste...It's Strange. Sonic May Have Inherited My Sense Of Smell And Taste For Flesh, But He Has Still Retained Most Of His Palate For The Most Part. It Has Combined For Us. What He Considers 'Food' Is Completely Foreign To Me, But It Doesn't Taste Too Offputting So There Is Little Point In Me Complaining. This Has Occasionally Given Us Unusual New Tastes. He Is Upset That It No Longer Keeps Him Sated As It Should Anymore Though.
