Can we talk about them. The story this update genuinely was so heartbreaking is that just me or like. I love Sith and Alesiya so much. I need to draw more of them.
Stories from Miraland - Infinity Nikki: Blue Tears
Note: I think this is first Stories form Miraland that isn't from Love Nikki lol, anyway the end of this event had Nikki telling the story of Sith and Alesiya which is a pretty good summary of the gameplay so I have transcribed it below.
Pretty short but I think Inikki is getting closer to the true spirit of the Nikki games which as we know is tragic gays
Blue Tears, Blue Tears, secrets kept, in guarded years... This nursery rhyme from Breezy Meadow has been sung for a very long time. Countless people confide their sad stories to the Blue Tears, but where does the sorrow of the Blue Tears themselves come from? I imagine many, like Momo and I, have also wondered about this. Fortunately, we received the Blue Tears' favor... A mysterious voice and shadows from history guided us to uncover a long-buried past, and to find a name long forgotten.
After Veilfall, the gods had vanished, and The Dark still ran rampant across Wishfield. The ranger, Alesiya, dreamed of cries from her distant homeland and decided to return, even though the journey was fraught with peril. Fortunately, she wasn't alone, for her dear friend, Sith, stood by her side. However, Wishfield had become nothing but withered flower fields, ruined houses, and scorched earth devoid of life. As they traveled against a tide of exiles and arrived here, they truly felt the despair of the apocalypse for the first time.
The survivors thanked the "Divine Envoys" for coming, and so Alesiya and Sith silently accepted their title, even if it was just another lie they couldn't bear to expose. Between every dawn and dusk, they fended off attacks from corrupted monsters, built indestructible shelters for the people, scoured for supplies, and even constructed a wishing altar where people could voice their hopes. They listened, they promised, and they secretly helped the suffering, all in the name of The Wishing One.
If their story had ended there, it would have been a warm and beautiful part of history. But instead, it became the tale of the Serpent slaying the Whimancer Alesiya with a sword. Because of this, they became two-minute failures in the torrent of history, and were washed away by time and forgotten.
Only tears of sorrow... Even Sith the Serpent could suffer severe injuries from being swarmed by corrupted monsters. Outside the cavern, the Esseling army grew daily, and people desperately cried out for divine mercy. It was then that Alesiya made a resolute decision: she would, as a mortal, wield divine power to save everyone. But the divine power was heavy and unpredictable. It did indeed drive away the Esselings, but with each use of the Aurosa Scepter, Alesiya lost more and more control. Until one day, she completely lost her mind. Endless corrupted monsters crawled out of the earth as she chanted her incantations, attacking the very people she had desperately protected. And the only way for Sith to stop her was to slay her dear friend, Alesiya.
The trembling sun finally set, and Alesiya's eyes closed forever. In her grief, Sith shed her first Blue Tear, and from then on, they never stopped. She willingly imprisoned herself in a lightless dungeon, repenting her sins. Soon after, news of The Eight reached Sith's cell, and countless futile "what ifs" shrouded her in regret. What if Alesiya had waited just two more months? What if she hadn't been told how to wield the divine power? What if they had never met? From then on, Sith's Blue Tears, condensed with pain, sorrow, despair, and memories, gave birth to the Blue Tear Tide that floods the land every twenty years...
