alessandra can't believe she's agreed to this. honestly, she can't even believe the desire to see ali is still there despite the low temperatures. not that it's ever been his fault -- alessandra had never been one to DATE. a boyfriend in high school, sure, but beyond that... nothing. living in the shadow of her brother made it tough to see herself as someone to make people stick around. that, and developing the life of a party girl in order to create an identity that was just hers. party girls get bored easily, no need for long lasting romantic relationships. somehow, even just knowing the party girl persona, ali wanted to take her to dinner.
it wasn't unusual for alessandra to spend at least an hour getting ready to go out. looking good was the best way to get free drinks for her and her friends. however, spending an hour to get the attention of ONE person was something new. despite already knowing she had ali wrapped araound her finger, she wanted to look good for him ( not that she'd ever admit it ). of course, ali always being down for another round after the two of them had woken up the morning after should have told her she didn't need to try very hard. still, this was a brand new context for the two of them. she couldn't just seduce her way out of a bad date. well, she could, but would it be as rewarding? unlikely.
she's happy to hear a knock on her door-- it stops her thoughts from going too crazy to the point where she cancels. she waits a couple moments before actually getting up to get the door, trying not to seem too eager. she opens the door and immediately breaks into a smile as she lays eyes on ali. "you sure clean up nicely."
