Bedroom Banter Episode 13 - Baz and Mags, Live Eels, Old Blunty and Frozen Rabbits
This Week In My Bedroom...
I brought to you podcast number 13... God I really hate that number.
As I expressed in the podcast and probably will numerous times throughout this blog, I just don’t like it. Weirdly though, and this honestly was not done on purpose today’s podcast is 13 minutes and 5 seconds long. Creepy eh?
Moving on then...
The stupidest thing I’ve done today, is displayed in the video below:
Yeah so I read this story about a man who was caught on camera literally stealing a mobile phone, with chopsticks!
So I thought I’d have a go and well you’ve seen how that turned out.
Honestly I’m not lying, he stole a mobile with chopsticks check the story here:

Because I’d made a fool of myself...
I always like to follow this with the idiots of the world and O to the M to the effing G, was there some idiots this week. I mean me attempting to pick up my phone with chopsticks looks like the most normal thing in the world to do compared to these dingalings. Here’s a hint of what came up in today’s ‘This Is The World You Live In’:
And if you really need to read up on the real stories (to be honest I’ve not really had to do much mocking this week) then here are the links to the real stories:

Stuff the best thing I’ve heard all week...
The best thing I’ve literally heard all year comes from Baz and Mags, a couple of neighbours who are aged 50 (Maggie) and 65 (Barry) and play regular pranks on each other. They’re not even your everyday miniature pranks either like making someone jump or throwing water bombs.
No this is hardcore shizzle between Baz and Mags like... it was properly stepped up a couple of days ago when Mags thought it would be funny to fill Baz’s garden with stuffed toy animals, (she’s crazy old Maggie).
BUT THEN BAZ WELL AND TRULY UPPED THE ANTI – HOW?
He only went and filled her garden with foam! He created a foam party in her front garden, it’s seriously amazing! Like total wow!
Best thing ever! Who wouldn’t want neighbours like Baz and Mags?
Things are going viral...
On a daily basis. *cough* still waiting on my YouTube debut to do it but you know... whatevs.
But this latest video is awesome!!!!!!!! <<< look how many exclamation marks I’ve used. It’s ridiculously stupid, probably annoying to people, but it’s viral for a reason. It’s hysterical.
Introducing, ‘How Animals Eat Their Food’. It doesn’t even contain animals!
One word... LOL.
I’m not weird with many things...
Pah! We all know that’s a lie, but one thing I am really weird with is the number 13. It’s just god damn freaky okay!
Now I know I’m not the only person who feels like this so I wanted to find out using today’s Google VS My Brain just exactly where this bizarre fear came from and well I thought I was nuts until I read these ten facts (according to Google) why we don’t, or should I say shouldn’t like the number 13:
Some speculate that a fear of the number 13 is the reason we recognize only 12 constellations in the Zodiac, omitting a thirteenth Ophiuchus, the Serpent Holder.
The ancient Hebrews thought 13 was unlucky because the thirteenth letter of the Hebrew alphabet is the letter M, which is the first letter in the word "mavet," meaning death.
Belief that 13 is unlucky because it follows 12, which in ancient Babylonia, China, and Rome was considered to be a lucky number associated with completion and perfection
Bakers Dozen, some believed that the baker's would add a half loaf as a token to Satan to assure that the other twelve would turn out good. London bakers were subject to harsh penalties if they were caught selling bread in what was called short weight that the bakers would add the extra loaf to avoid the punishment.
A perfect coven consists of 13 witches
A dinner party should not have 13 guests, the old belief that the first to rise would be the first to die, this belief goes back to the Last Supper where Judas was the first to rise and the first to die. A hostess who has only 13 guests will request that they all rise together so that none of her friends will die during the following year.
The Last Supper had 13 in attendance, Judas was the first to rise and the first to die
The Norse God Odin had a party for 11 demigods, including himself, Loki arrived uninvited and when Baldr, Odin's second son, tried to remove Loki, Baldr was murdered. Therefore 13 was unlucky
The arrest and murders of the Knights Templar was planned and executed on October 13, 1307
In a male dominate society 13 is considered a feminine number therefore it is unlucky
Yeah alright then... Half of it doesn't even make any bloody sense?!
Finally I brought you some amazing music...
From a guy who is based in a place that is very close to my heart due to my university years up there in the North East.
Alex Dobson I have to say, is one of my favourite artists I’ve featured on Bedroom Banter, he’s music just has it.
Anyone who can create a song that makes you feel great no matter what mood you’re in, in my book is going places and this exactly what this kid does.
I featured his first single from his debut EP ‘Count To Four’ which is having it’s launch party tonight, so good luck Alex!
If you loved it on the podcast check out his video to ‘Kites’ here:
And.... because this guy is so amazing I have a bonus track for you which is equally as a-mazing!
If you want to know any more info on Alex then check out his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Alexdobsonmusic
That’s enough babbling on from me today then, please don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel ‘BedroomBanterUK’ and make sure to watch out for random ‘vlogs’ I’ve started.
Have a good one!
