One more thing appears to be something Bond requests of Q fairly often. Q seems rather defeated and has stopped dead in his tracks to listen despite being clearly annoyed that Bond is asking him to break more rules. (Which is honestly more heartbreaking bc of how much Danny should fear MI6) Bond seems fairly aware of this and like he knows that smiling like that is enough to get Q to do whatever he needs him to.
However-- I don’t think Bond is purposefully taking advantage of Q’s willingness to bend rules and defy M’s orders. I believe that Bond is wrapped up in his own sense of self so much that he simply doesn’t realise what kind of affect he’s having on our Quartermaster. Bond has quite the ego, that’s part of being Bond, and with such an ego comes the territory of being responsible of what that ego does to others.
Edit: Plus, that smile? It might just remind Danny of a certain man from memory lane.
