Alexander blinked at the other, then glanced away, unsure how to take that. So all he did say was “What will happen, will, whatever it is, kill me?” He asked, almost looking like the notion might have been amusing to him. Almost. But there was little that could actually kill a reaper. After all, they had controlled the realm of death. He used to be quieter in life. So now that he was officially a reaper, after going through all the academy training, he now had a new voice. Alexander wonder at times if maybe he used it too much, still. Chewing on the bite of soul, he mulled over this conversation, and how to continue it, why he should, even.
He would not say he had much of an ego. But perhaps he did, in the end. Maybe all his personality traits amounted to the appearance of a great ego. Maybe it wasn't that big of a deal, if he did. It wasn't like he was a particularly nice person to be around, right? Alexander hated going through the academy, sure, being a reaper was nice, it was fun at times. But he had to deal with all of the same nastiness as these livings, if she truly wanted to meet someone with a lot of ego, then he was not the one with an absurd amount of one, certainly. Many of his former classmates at Reaper Academy, had more. He was often jealous, though.
As Elowyn spoke on he sighed, turning his hand to one side, slightly, then closed his fingers into his palm “You think that is frightening to me?” Alexander questioned, again, almost seeming abused, but could not bring himself to be so, any more than a small impression. It was amusing “And, what is this living creature capable of, against death?” When she went on, he glanced away, sighing, then he shook his head “I don't particularly care. I didn't even ask. Life and death come for all of you. That is all.” When she stepped back, he dropped his arm down, taking a few steps to one side of her as she spoke on needing something from one like him, he narrowed his gaze “And, what is that?”
