Not only because I was entrusted with such a key gig (although that did blow my mind at the time), but also because FFIX was such a big part of my childhood -- I can't believe I got to paint for it in an official capacity. Длиннохвостая синица, или ополовник (лат. Aegithalos caudatus), — птица семейства длиннохвостых синиц. Весит это чудо 8–9 г. Оперение её, как и у других видов длиннохвостых синиц, чрезвычайно рыхлое и пушистое, издали птичка кажется шариком с длинным хвостом. Напоминает она разливательную ложку, поэтому народное название этой синички — ополо́вник.

В её окраске сочетается белый цвет, чёрный и розовато-белый. Голова, шея и бо́льшая часть нижней стороны тела — белые; часть спины, плечевые и отчасти маховые и рулевые перья — чёрные; спинная сторона местами с коричневатым или розоватым оттенком; кроющие перья хвоста и боков тела — розовые; часть маховых и рулевых перьев с белыми наружными краями.

Предпочитает ополовник смешанные и лиственные леса с густым подлеском, пойменные заросли. В зимнее время встречается в самых разнообразных биотопах: в лесах, лесополосах, парках, садах, даже в зарослях тростника и невысоких кустарников.  Весной эти синицы залетают далеко на север, даже в арктическую тундру. Длиннохвостые синицы держатся стайками и лишь когда приступают к строительству гнезда — живут парами.Гнездится этот вид по пойменным участкам рек, в густых зарослях, в лесах на влажных участках, по заброшенным садам. Они вроде бы не пугливы, но настолько подвижны во время поиска пищи, что снять их почти невозможно. Питается мелкими насекомыми и другими беспозвоночными, их яйцами и личинками. Пищу отыскивает в кронах деревьев и кустарников, иногда подвешиваясь вверх ногами к самым концам тонких веточек. Ополовников можно часто наблюдать в составе смешанных синичьих стаек. Песня этих синиц состоит из негромких приятных трелей, ее удается слышать редко.

The long-tailed tit (lat. Aegithalos caudatus), is a bird of the long-tailed tit family. This miracle weighs 8-9 g. Its plumage, like other species of long-tailed tits, is extremely loose and fluffy, from a distance the bird seems to be a ball with a long tail. It resembles a pouring spoon, so the popular name for this tit is polovnik.

Its color combines white, black and pinkish-white. The head, neck and most of the underside of the body are white; part of the back, shoulder and partly fly and tail feathers - black; dorsal side in places with brownish or pinkish tint; covering feathers of the tail and sides of the body are pink; part of flight and tail feathers with white outer edges.

The long-tailed tit prefers mixed and deciduous forests with dense undergrowth, floodplain thickets. In winter, it is found in a wide variety of biotopes: in forests, forest belts, parks, gardens, even in thickets of reeds and low shrubs. In spring, these tits fly far north, even into the Arctic tundra. Long-tailed tits hold in flocks and only when they start building a nest do they live in pairs. This species nests in floodplain areas of rivers, in dense thickets, in forests in wet areas, in abandoned gardens. They do not seem to be shy, but they are so mobile during the search for food that it is almost impossible to remove them. It feeds on small insects and other invertebrates, their eggs and larvae. He finds food in the crowns of trees and shrubs, sometimes hanging upside down at the very ends of thin branches. The long-tailed tit can often be observed as part of mixed flocks of tits. The song of these tits consists of quiet pleasant trills, it is rarely heard.

Valerie had long traveled across England for over a decade since her freedom. But war brought new challenges to the vampire. Luckily, it also meant a steady food supply. When she could, she made the effort to feed on those who had already passed but in the city that was harder to come across. Valerie focused on feeding on incoming soldiers, but the army was noticing their number dwindling. Valerie easily lured in soldiers with her beauty. She had gotten used to the routine, and though nobody suspected her. So when a strong man came in and sat at the bar counter, she did what she normally did. A gentle hand on his arm. "Hello." She spoke softly and played innocent. Her pale complexion typically looked over by most prey. "Do you think you can help me?" She asked him. "I need a strong man to walk me home. It's been awfully dangerous as of late."
