You never imagined this would happen, who would have imagined that when you named your dachshund Charles you would also be dating Arthur Leclerc?
Family lunch
The Monaco apartment smelled deliciously of Pascale's Sunday lunch. Arthur held your hand, visibly more nervous than when he's on the starting grid. Beside you, with a vibrant red collar and the posture of someone who owned the principality, was his faithful squire: a smooth-haired Dachshund.
"Are you sure your mother won't mind?" you whispered.
"She'll love it," Arthur assured you, though he was laughing in anticipation. "The problem isn't my mother. It's my brother's ego."
As soon as you entered, the commotion began. Alexandra and Charlotte were the first to see. They both let out an "Aww!" in unison, immediately crouching down.
"Arthur!" "You didn't say you'd bring such an elegant guest!" Charlotte exclaimed, reaching out for the puppy to sniff. "He's beautiful!" Alexandra laughed as the dachshund tried to lick her nose. "What's his name?" You took a deep breath, exchanging a mischievous look with Arthur. "His name is Charles." There was a sudden silence in the room. Lorenzo, who was serving wine, stopped the bottle in mid-air. Charles Leclerc (the human), who was coming out of the kitchen with a plate of bread, froze in place.
"Excuse me?" Charles asked, raising an eyebrow. "I think I heard wrong." "You didn't," Arthur said, bursting into laughter. "The dog's name is Charles. She had him long before we started dating, I swear!"
"Are you telling me," Lorenzo began, trying to keep a straight face but failing miserably, "that Arthur spends his weekends hearing 'Charles, sit!', 'Charles, don't bite the shoe!'" "And 'Charles, stop licking the floor!'?" —Basically—you shrugged, holding back a laugh.—And the best part is that Charles (the dog) is much more obedient than his brother.
Pascale came out of the kitchen wiping her hands on her apron and, upon seeing the little intruder, her eyes lit up. She didn't even say hi to Arthur; she went straight to the Dachshund. —Oh, what a cute little thing! Come here, Charles! Who's the good boy?—She picked him up as if he were a grandson.—Finally a Charles who doesn't talk back to me and finishes his whole plate without complaining about the seasoning!
—Mom!—Charles complained, indignant.—I'm a Ferrari driver! I have wins at Monza! I can't be replaced by a dog with the body of a cannelloni!
—He's aerodynamic, Charles—Charlotte teased, petting the pet's ear.—Look at the shape. He's made for speed. — I think it's appropriate — Lorenzo added, patting his brother on the back. — He's short, determined, and, from what I'm seeing, he also likes being the center of attention. He's practically his twin.
The climax was when Charles (the human) tried to sit at the table and little Charles let out an authoritative bark at him.
— He just growled at me? In my place at the table? — Charles looked at Arthur, incredulous.
— Sorry, bro — Arthur shrugged, helping himself to a piece of bread. — He got here first. And honestly? Mom already served him a little piece of ham. You're still waiting for your risotto. Accept defeat, "Charles 2".
Chaos on the Grid: The Day Monaco Met Two Charleses The Entrance: Arthur held your hand, trying to guide you through the sea of people, while you held the vibrant red leash (with a discreet Ferrari logo, a gift from Pascale) of Charles, the Dachshund. Lorenzo and the girls (Alexandra and Charlotte) followed closely behind, acting as bodyguards for the little "sausage dog." Charles (the dog) seemed to own the place. Ears flying, tail wagging, completely ignoring the noise of the engines and focusing only on the smells of fancy food coming from the hospitality areas. The Chaos Begins: You were standing near the entrance to the Ferrari garage, waiting for Charles (the driver) to come out for the formation lap. The area was packed. Suddenly, an F1 employee, distracted with a clipboard, almost tripped over the dog. —Hey! Watch your foot!—you shouted instinctively.—Charles, come here! Stay close to me! The magic of the Paddock happens at that moment: time stops. At least three Ferrari mechanics, two security guards, and a Sky Sports journalist look at you with the same "Huh?" expression. The Chain Reaction:
Ferrari: A track engineer identical to Jock Clear, who was rushing by, freezes. — Excuse me? You… you just gave an order to the driver through the Paddock? Charles is in the bathroom now!
The Other Drivers (The Legend): Lando Norris, who was passing by on a scooter, brakes sharply. — Wait a minute. — He takes off his sunglasses. — Did I hear right? The sausage's name is Charles?
Arthur Leclerc goes into "total chaos" mode: — Yes, Lando! My new "brother's" name is Charles Leclerc. And honestly? He's more consistent in the corners.
than the original. Lando lets out a laugh that draws even more attention. — This is incredible! — He grabs his cell phone. — I need to film this for Instagram. "Guys, Charles has changed a lot since the last GP."
The "Original" Charles Appears: At this moment, Charles Leclerc (the driver), already with his Ferrari racing suit tied around his waist, leaves the garage, focused. He hears Lando's laughter and sees the crowd.
— What's going on here? — he asks, adjusting his cap.
— Your number one fan has arrived, Charles! — Lorenzo says, holding back laughter. — And he's stealing all your sponsors.
You lift Charles the Dachshund into your lap for Charles the driver to see. The dog lets out a short, sharp bark, as if greeting his rival.
Charles Leclerc stops. He looks at the dog. He looks at you. He looks at Arthur (who is almost crying with laughter).
— You… you brought him to the Paddock? — Charles asks, his voice faltering slightly. — And is Lando filming?
— Yes, darling — Pascale says, appearing behind you. — And look how handsome he looks in red! He's so calm, unlike certain drivers I know.
The Comic Climax: Suddenly, Pierre Gasly runs past, in a hurry. — Guys, has anyone seen Charles? The drivers' briefing is about to start! In unison, Arthur, Lorenzo, Lando, and you point to the dog in your lap.
— He's here, Pierre! — Arthur shouts. — He said the briefing can wait, he needs treats first! Pierre stops, looks at the dog, lets out an "Oh, no," and starts laughing, turning back to take a picture.
The Million Dollar Picnic (or Crumb Picnic) A family picnic in the garden of their Monaco home. The family was distracted, chatting about race strategies. Leo and Charles (the dog) exchanged a knowing look. Without needing a single bark, the plan was executed: The Tactic: Leo served as a distraction, starting to spin around near Lorenzo's legs, who was holding the cheese plate. Meanwhile, little Charles, using his height (or lack thereof) to be invisible, slid under the towel. The Crime: When Lorenzo lowered his guard to pet Leo, Charles pulled the end of the towel with his teeth. The Result: Three Parma ham sandwiches and half a focaccia disappeared in seconds. The Reaction: "LORENZO! WHERE'S MY SNACK?" shouted Charles (the pilot). "I saw Leo here a moment ago!", Lorenzo replied. But the two dogs were already lying on their backs, pretending to be fast asleep with crumbs on their snouts.
Aquatic Chaos (The Perfect Synchronization) House pool, sunny afternoon. Arthur and Charles were relaxing on pool floats. You were sitting on the edge with your feet in the water. Arthur: "Look at the peace, finally the 'brothers' are quiet." Little did he know. Leo and Charles were at the edge of the pool. Leo started barking frantically at nothing on the left side. Arthur and Charles turned to see what it was. At that exact second, little Charles jumped right onto Arthur's stomach, making the float flip over. As Arthur fell into the water, Leo took advantage of the chaos to jump in and steal Charles' (the driver's) designer sunglasses that were on the side table. Charles Leclerc: "MY SUNGLASSES! LEO, COME BACK HERE! ARTHUR, HOLD YOUR DOG!" It was a chase: two elite drivers running after two wet dachshunds that were running in a zigzag pattern (which made it impossible to catch them).
The Paddock on Red Alert The Ferrari Motorhome. Bringing a dog was already difficult, but bringing the dynamic duo was a monumental tactical error. The Espionage Crime: They managed to escape their leashes while you were talking to Alexandra. Where did they go? Straight to the McLaren garage. The Rescue: You and Arthur found them both inside. Leo was sitting on top of Lando Norris's spare tire, and your Charles was calmly chewing on one of an engineer's headphones. The Chaos: Lando Norris: "Someone tell Ferrari they sent the shortest spies in history here? Leo is trying to steal our telemetry!" Arthur: "Charles, let go of the guy's headphones! For God's sake, we can't get kicked out of the Paddock on the first day!" You: "It's not my fault if they decided McLaren's coffee is better than Ferrari's!"
The Final Alliance At the end of the day, the Leclerc family was exhausted. Pascale was trying to clean the muddy paw prints from the carpet while the three brothers argued about who was to blame. You looked to the corner of the room and saw the scene that would define the fanfic: Leo and little Charles were sleeping in the same little bed, one on top of the other, forming an "X" of dachshunds.
Pascale (sighing): "They're more trouble than the three boys put together… but look, they're the only ones in this house who really know how to work as a team."
Charles Leclerc: "Sure, the demolition crew. Tomorrow I'm going to put GPS tracks on those two."
Arthur: "Good luck, Charles. Leo already hid his ca a cell phone charger under the sofa. I saw it."

You’ve made a terrible mistake.
There were two ways out of this, blame it on the liquor or… blame it on the liquor, there was really only one option.
You inched your eyes open, blanket gripped tightly between your fingers as you covered your naked form. The warm sleeping body next to you, happened to be the ONE person you promised yourself you would never sleep with.
Hiii as you might have seen Alexandra announced her bridesmaids so maybe reader is a childhood friend of hers, ( they grew up together and everything but she lives in Paris) so ofc she’s one of the bridesmaids. So as she’s never been ( or just been a few times) in Monaco she never properly met the Leclercs so Alexandra invites her to dinner in their house with everyone: Charles, Lorenzo , Charlotte, Pascale … and she meets Arthur maybe he spills water on her dress or he makes a fool of himself ( + blushing and everyone teasing him )or something a bit awkward and cute like that 🥰
Anyway no pressure at all!! And I love your stories ( I actually got this idea after reader your George “ I have a boyfriend” fic when reader mentions Alex’s bridesmaids )
