After the weekly grocery excursion today, we took a wild and windy walk in the park, with (recovery coffees from @gardenslakecafe). Lovely to see the little swan family grazing on the lawn. There's a seat overlooking the lake from the new Chinese garden in Ararat gardens. Sitting there this morning, I was serenaded by a Reed Warbler while enjoying the sun-sparkles on the water and the first few waterlilies. Lovely spot! Bryan had his monthly Men's Breakfast this morning, so I was in Ararat early enough for a walk around the lake, enjoying the spring sunshine (but not the chilly breeze so much). Lots of waterbirds were also enjoying the park, including a mama Black Duck taking two fluffballs for a swim. Once a month, Bryan has a Men's Breakfast to go to, so I'm in Ararat with the early birds. The only reasonable thing to do is to look for photo opportunities, and today was particularly rewarding. Pic number 10 is a tragic dolly - I took photos of her at the far end of the lake weeks ago, so I was a bit surprised to find her again! I had to be in Ararat early this morning, so I took a walk in the park on my way to volunteering at the Salvos. The waterborne were quietly going about their business.
