I remember where I found this @vhils piece in 2015, it was the first time I’d seen one of his pieces that was painted to look like it was chiseled! The shadows were pretty hard core that day but in this case I think they look pretty cool. My advice for anyone going to shoot artwork in Las Vegas is to wake up early as hell and get your flicks in before the sun rises! You’ll see some pics taken with this strategy over the next few days. In times of crisis a small spark is enough to set off an explosion with lasting consequences, bringing to the surface all that is kept in check through the social order we take for granted in times of peace and prosperity. Back in 2010, inspired by the explosive and extremist reality brought about by the global financial crisis, I began working on a new body of works, a natural sequence to carving walls based on the concept of creative destruction.
