I am a big reader of biographies, usually those of writers, so it's good to come across a book about Lawrence Durrell. When I was young, I had his Alexandria Quartet in an old 50s or 60s collection of four books. They were my prize possession, but as with most of my books, they got lost, sold, stolen - I can't remember which.
