When changing characters do you have any tricks for maintaining voice in pov?

Mmmm not particularly! I'm sorry I don't have a better answer haha. I'm trying to think if there's anything I do particularly, but really it just comes down to they have different... Rhythms? Dave and Dirk have different narrative rhythms when it comes to... I don't know. Run ons vs short choppy sentences vs metaphors plus like things they focus on vs the others. then I extrapolate those to other characters. Davepeta and Hal have similar rhythms as you can guess, same but to the left, and I keep their unique backstories in mind.

I don't have anything at all for the other aloha kids, unfortunately. Except for Roxy, maybe. I start writing as if I was writing for Dave, and then kinda veer off into Roxy land.

OK HEADCANON TIME or maybe more of a truth or dare, what wonder twinnish qualities do you imagine dave and davesprite have, either in the supernatural or just the natural asshole kind a way

I imagine as time goes on, they’d be more willing to take advantage of their similarities, or at least the ability to freak people out.

For sure they have the propensity for both thinking and saying the same thing, like one will think something, the other will say it within a heartbeat after. This begins as a point of frustration and turns into something like a joke between them, I imagine! Of course this leads to lots of teaming up on people with identical looks and also because of their matching voices, tricking the shit out of the others when they’re not paying attention. 

Other than that I just like to genuinely believe they are drawn to each other, and find comfort in the other’s presence. Something that may have once been super weird and kind of unnerving becomes familiarity, a kind of solidarity in shared history, shit no one else has been through but them.

also i like to think that they probably could pull off being each other over pesterchum, and definitely use it to tease john and the others. Jade always seems to know which is which though. They’re pretty sure she is cheating!!!!! somehow!

i hope this is okay it’s been FOREVER since i’ve shared any kind of headcanon
