Tuesday night home made pizza is a thing @communitywines but matching it with a great wine is key...and tonight's is fantastic! Keeping with the Italian theme it's the @collector_wines rose red city Sangiovese 2012 and what an amazing wine. The nose is all really bright mulberries, raspberries, blackberries and hints of tobacco. The palate is sweet and fresh dripping red fruit and black cherries, backed up by allspice and vague hints of pepper. Acids are in balance and tannins are present but almost invisible. This wine is drinking beautifully.
