Quick update of what’s cooking at the weekend. One of the scratch build side panels is almost completed: sanding, priming, painting and weathering still to go on, but one can at least see the shape 🤓. Hopefully it will look better than the plain panel that Eduard supplied. Spray booth full on with small parts 😅 too!. On the other photos, a much needed drop of for the Yamato , it came without decals and since I want to get the colours right lifecolor paint set to the rescue. One engine done, another half way. Eduard has done a pretty good job with them... just to be completely covered by the fuselage at the next step. Not option given to show it, so one has to decide to follow the instructions and cover it or scratch build the hatch somehow to make it visible. Rust and metal effects done with @officialflorymodels washes and @Tamiya panel line wash. Really important to have the right tool at hand. No kit is perfect but it helps a lot investing in tools which will safe you a lot of hassle. This time I recommend this little set of drills. They can be a bit delicate so handle with care and it will gives you a good result.
