Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA 1600 Sprint 1966 restored as new and more by @pastorelliclassiccars 😍🍀 Limited to 30 prints, this print is licensed by Pastorelli Classic Cars themselves because approved by them 🙏🏼 This GTA is chassis #613013. The ‘A’ stands for ‘Alleggerita’, Italian for lightened, weighing only 740Kg (1,640 pounds). The GTA was produced between 1965 and 1971. Only 500 cars were made for racing and road use. This #127 is a very early model with first registration on February 16, 1966 by Autostrada Firenze (FI 310788) in name of Giovanni ‘Nanni’ Galli (1940 - 2019), who would later become a Formula 1 driver among for McLaren, Ferrari and Williams (1970 - 1973). His first racing success was in 1965 with a Mini Cooper S, at the age of 26. Early 1966 he bought the just newly released GTA (with his own money) and had the car prepared for racing by Franco Cortini, one of the best Alfa mechanics in Italy at that time.
