. 一昨年のマッチボックス カスタムコンテストのご褒美。作品が展示された現地でのJapanese Nostalgic Car Show で少し販売はあったようですが、そこで購入した方が居たとしても、日本にあるのは数セットだけではないでしょうか。下手したらこれだけかもね。という自慢👺 なんでもバリバリ開けちゃうほうだけどこれだけは未開封のまま。 この箱の復刻はナイス。 マッチボックスカスタムコンテスト、去年は不参加。やはりいつまで経っても自分はダイキャストのカスタマイザーという自覚は希薄なので遠慮しときました。が、今年はもし開催されれば参加します。コロナウイルスに負けずに例年通り、コンテストもJapanese Nostalgic Car Showも開催されることを祈っております。今年開催の折には日本の精鋭カスタマイザーの皆様も是非参加しましょうよ。海外への発送方法などわからなければお手伝いしますので。 . The history of this one has become Matchbox lore. - #Repost @davidjtilley (@get_repost) ・・・ A rare & elusive 1965 #austin #minivan from 2009. Dubbed the Chilean Minivan it was going to have been part of a set in 2008, but the set was cancelled. However a small run had been produced. Rather than waste them #matchbox decided to just add the model to a multipack. In this case it was a 3-pack containing a silver Nissan Z & red Audi R8. The first batch was discovered in Chile in South America in early 2009. It was just a small group that was discovered, hence the nickname it received. A second batch was later found in Switzerland too, but the nickname had already stuck. It is not known how many of these were actually made. But estimates are possibly less than a few hundred. Some think less than a hundred but we will never know. What we do know is that they rarely come up for sale.
