If you haven't heard anything from Brooklyn's duo The Mast, you're missing out on some symphonic, electronic, syncopative eargasms. (Why, this beat is systematic....hydromatic....ultramatic.....why, it's GREASED LIGHTNING!)

"Raining Down" was featured on the fifth installment of Luvstep (Sunrise-Sunset) and it soon became one of my favorite parts of the 2 hour long mixtape.  It's one of the tracks on their newest album Pleasure Island (appropriately named considering the ethereal feeling you get when listening to it). Between the awesome sub bass at 0:33 and 2:15 and the beautiful vocals at 1:25, I've had this shit on repeat.

Also check out their string-heavy, hip hoppy "Seas Across Your Mind," a slower, sexier jam I can't stop playing. Review by alffiesta.

Tuesdays suck, let's face it.  It's not even halfway through the week.  Plus, you can't even slack off like you can on a Monday.  Add the lovely snow/ice to the mix, and you've got that lazy kind of day where all you wanna do is stay under the covers, eat a pizza, and listen to some non-assaulting music in your headphones.

This song perfectly sums up that chill, dreary, hazy-eyed mood I'm in.  I love a good, solid bassline and the backdrop of a rainstorm for added effect, and this song executes it well.  Not to mention it's remixing "Easy to Be Hard" by one of my favorite bands ever, Three Dog Night.  The beautiful vocals are effortlessly seamed into the track.

I'm hoping I can come across some more TDN remixes soon (and hopefully not all those overplayed dubstep versions of "One.")
