Today I'm here to suggest Faces by Hayd as an awesome Ping drama song! Li and Alfred specifically (would've done some vid but I'm awful at finishing stuff that requires a lot of time)

Li is the first half and Alfred is the second half.

Just as they share the pre-chorus and chorus, they share their meanings. Pre-chorus is more of an overall feeling of being lost. Cat and mouse for Alfred is his attempts to get the info he needs on mwf and council, and for Li is probably his search for his past and his family.

Chorus? Oh, the dark places and wrong faces? Of course that's council/mwf. Li, as part of the council, at least initially was probably searching for some form of validation from them which he never got ("You've only taught me to hate"). Alfred, on the other hand, had believed in them for some reason, only to lose a part of his family to them ("When the people who were supposed to be the good guys, are really the bad guys?").

Verses? I see Li's as 1) showing his changed opinion on Pings, from someone who abandoned and replaced him (listen, considering clone theory was debunked as far as plot is concerned, he told that because he was extremely bitter) to someone who had lost him to others hands, waking up from the lies he knew, and possibly not minding trying to be family again, and 2) his past at council. Listen, Cass only taught him to hate there's no way this boy got any kind of emotional support there. All Pings need to go to therapy. Then their therapist would also need one.

Alfred's? Let's change the flower bed to just bed. Or rather, crib. That's pretty self explanatory, I'd say.

Ping bros again! I love headcanoning that they finally find common ground instead of trying to slaughter each other everyday. I WANT so badly to see these guys acting like mischievous, but respectful brothers. I know it’s HARD for them since their upbringing is so frigging different and the rivalry of ‘I’m the original son you’re a worthless copy parents should’ve loved me you don’t deserve a thing’, BUT... I just want them to be happy ok?? :’’D

also the second one is kinda au if the boys weren’t ever separated and Alfred would absolutely snuggle them both every single day because he loves his boys so much and i enjoy making myself cry because this is just an au and not canon <33
