the only thing i want for my birthday is to bring my laptop back from the dead. i found a repair shop and made a gofundme for it and i’d be really grateful and love you forever if you could signal boost this.

How much do u need to repair your laptop?

Hi anon! I’m sick and posting this on my phone so I hope it posts. <3

I don’t know exactly what the repairs will cost, cuz I can’t get a quote on what’s wrong until I have the money ready to then fix it. But based on the repairs I got done this summer (replaced internal power cord, replaced power port, replaced external power cord), I’m estimating $250 including the labor costs.

Thanks to early bday gifts from friends so far, I have $85 of that. If I can get close enough, I’m willing to give up bday cake plans (that’s the only fun thing we had planned this year, no going out events or anything, otherwise I’d have more to put towards it) to make it happen. I know it’s an unusual bday request, tbh. I’d hoped to have the money saved up by the end of the year on our own but it’s not going to be possible…and the only option I could think of for earning money is selling my writing but honestly that makes me feel weird when it’s fic. Thanks for asking!!
