so many pretty rugs. and the Very Blue light! i enjoy your wish to make me a sim with things like plants that i just would not prioritize as a person. (i do always approve of string lights, though--as you know.)
the rainbow row of cat dishes makes me happy--and the shelves, looking all off-kilter and mismatched, are perfect! lovely chaos holding order.
very pretty stove and fridge. i long for that much counter space! ooh a smoothie maker
ha and then i feel vindicated by the fact that you even went back to the first option again! before finding one you liked best. i enjoy seeing what you think will suit me, or what you know i'll like.
i love the entryway rug. :) ooh, and i liked both kitchen wallpapers you put up--the first one was very cheery.
i like the completed landscaping, very cohesive. and 'riotous blooms' is an excellent way to describe it--exactly my idea of the perfect garden :D
Sunday snapshot: Rhee pausing her busy work of showing love through stabbing in order to take control of her own narrative (aka grab my phone).
Five Facts Friday: Rhee Enais!!
With the most interesting tortie coloring I've ever seen, she's also got hidden pale fur that's tucked under her chin and down her belly. She strongly resembles Athena, a childhood cat beloved by @actuallylukedanes's twin, who chose Rhee's middle name.
Huge fan of comfort and luxury. Spent a lot of her initial time in the cat bed, then was the first kitten to explore mine. Started napping on my bed long before she trusted me.
Smallest of all the kittens Fai brought last year, she's still tiny for her age. Contains more fierceness than her lil body should have room for, though! Claws always out, even when making biscuits, and has attempted to climb me like a tree (with some success).
Has grown into more elegance these days, but had such a little monkey face as a baby! Visible especially in her wide-eyed early photos, because she always sensed the camera immediately, then froze. Now she holds still by choice, as if regally granting our appreciation of her likeness.
Her theme song is based on Fleetwood Mac's "Rhiannon," and I fudge the syllables a little to make her middle name fit. She's on the fence about whether she likes music yet, so each time I sing it to her she listens very neutrally--but she enjoys the attention.
Wildlife Wednesday: As promised last week, here is Roger the raccoon back in December. He snuffled his way in through the cat door and curled up like this, as the kittens watched from various spots in the house.
Then Roger proceeded to have a brief nap, while trying his hardest to convince everyone he was simply the newest Big Weird Cat to join the family. Nothing to see here, just a previously undiscovered breed--don't think too hard about it!
so everybody's gotten destroyed by the 45 x 45 game (i too was a victim and i await my compensation) but nobody's talking about this daily clue website that helps you learn cryptic crosswords??
i've been the cliche autistic puzzle obsessive my whole life so i'm pretty good at most kinds of them, but i have never been able to make sense of cryptic crosswords, let alone solve them--and i had a great time yesterday working through the tutorials on their site.
nothing comes up for parseword at all when i search here or reddit, so i need people to get hooked on this with me!
Having moots is great bc you get exposed to the shenanigans of fandoms you're not even a part of. I am currently watching the opera fandom try to kill Timothee Chalamat.
i've been crying over agatha and charlotte all season but when charlotte says we have such fun together and they're holding hands and holding back tears, that's when i'm sobbing for entirely personal reasons
the end of this season left me with so many images stuck in my head in a nice way. the water overflowing from the bathtub. the overhead shot of all the dancers. sophie being walked down the aisle. it was just beautiful.
eloise, who has raged against the marriage market machine for years, watching her marriage-obsessed little sister discard all her treasures and declare she is now going to be like eloise: oh no i have perhaps gone too far
benedict yelling at his mom giving me the exact conflict i longed for this season: that's right toss your bleeding heart in her face alongside her parenting ideals and demand that violet justify ignoring both in the name of propriety...three years of happy children and all's well marriages leading right into this forbidden love match with all the inevitability of a slow motion train crash
well i will say that their heartbreak is the most believable i've seen from both sides of a bridgerton love story so far, and that's not an insult to the others who came before. benedict and sophie are just out here making it hurt to watch them hurt, and i think it's because benedict's always been a messy open book with his feelings on the table for the world to see so he breaks in front of her even as she's the one doing the breaking. but we know all of sophie's reasons for trying to stay safe and protected so it's just as wrenching to know she's holding it in, until she stops trying and then we're witnessing her devastation and it is just. a lot.
