Watching Princess Tutu and the set up is very plural to me. These are characters in a story, but they aren't in the story anymore. They have the memories of the story and know they are characters (mostly), but also know they are outside and beyond the constraints of a story.

Ahiru is Princess Tutu from the story and identifies herself as such and can take on that form and those abilities; at the same time, she's a regular girl who kind of sucks at ballet and frequently sticks her foot in her mouth despite her grace shown as Princess Tutu. And also she's a duck.

A lot of replacements for "system" are a miss for me because it's just another existing word. Going to start calling us a xiblor or something.

Very hard to explain this but sometimes I need to be a weird small creature that someone finds on the side of a street and takes enough pity on to bring in and care for until I'm strong and hopeful enough to turn back human and disappear.

Hello, obviously biased blogger. Please explain these very specific terms that I can plainly see you have strong feelings about. I could easily search their meaning myself but I'd rather base my entire opinion on a single source.
