Peridot really enjoys this specific screencap of me from Jail Break and wanted it in normal full color instead of the harsh lighting in the original, plus as ME and not source me so... here I am! Me with my badass commander cape! (yes, source me DOES have a suspiciously Peridot shaped gem clasp on my cape that in our canon was 100% because I am gay as fuck for it, fight me /silly)

I am also being bullied by Peridot to make this my Pluralkit pfp because quote "you look hot as fuck and i like looking at this image", so... this is the new pfp for my pk now hehe-

kinda questioning being c!Grian in a fictionhearted way, if that makes sense? as a watcher, his backstory is very relatable, and I just feel very connected to him in general. and also, as an avian, since I'm a bird as well.

It's not exactly like in a kin way, as in, I'm not him (I'm a different watcher and a different Player, maybe in a past life, mayhaps?), I just have a connection to him, I think. the concept of a runaway watcher without his memories, an avian without a flock, him finding refuge in hermitcraft after being taken by watchers and slowly thriving into their little family... it's inspiring to me, and something I aim to do.

I will give it a few weeks, tho, to see how it feels. I don't want to jump into it too quickly and end up being wrong, but the idea is very appealing

do you read fic of yourselves, or is it too annoying when people are wrong or is it just weird in general?

Sometimes we'll read heavily curated and carefully vetted smut fics of ourselves.

For the most part, yeah, it's weird in general and annoying when people are wrong so we stay away from plot heavy or long fics. The longer they are, the more likely to be something that's offputting.

That's the reason why mostly we write about our sources, and mostly we read about media that we're not related to.

Fictionfolk culture is not realizing you are The Character until recently because none of the more popular otherkin terms really fit how you feel despite the fact you've been been using The Character's name and general aesthetics and such as a core part of your identity for years and always felt more authentically yourself when leaning into that. Especially when you're pretty sure you already figured out what kind of otherkin you are that conflicts with the fictionfolk bit a tad.
