"this is a prime example of endos invading CDD communities!"

We're pretty used to manga adaptations straying far from their source material, but when the mangaka directly apologizes for how it turned out? woof.
Having headcanons that aren't exactly your headmates' identities
PLURALS: do you consider your collective transgender? Why if yes?
Yes; because the body is
Yes; because the host is
Yes; because the majority of headmates don't align with the body's sex
yes; some other reason
No

Trying not to be snarky but we really are tired of poorly color-coded comics that are 90% text and not transcribed by the author in any way.
Watching Princess Tutu and the set up is very plural to me. These are characters in a story, but they aren't in the story anymore. They have the memories of the story and know they are characters (mostly), but also know they are outside and beyond the constraints of a story.
Ahiru is Princess Tutu from the story and identifies herself as such and can take on that form and those abilities; at the same time, she's a regular girl who kind of sucks at ballet and frequently sticks her foot in her mouth despite her grace shown as Princess Tutu. And also she's a duck.
I made this post having only watched four episodes, but, now having finished the show, my opinion hasn't changed much. I'm not trying to give the story a plural reading, just simply connecting my experiences with plurality with the show. Spoilers below the cut.
The entire town feels reminiscent of headspace. Characters and their stories spawn and integrate into the town, sometimes with direct relation to more active members of the town, such as Freya having the heart Mytho possessed by the raven needs. Inconsistencies with reality are accepted quickly, if they are even acknowledged; lots of animals are present in the town and are treated as analogue to humans, and only a few characters, like Ahiru, seem to be surprised about a cat being a ballet teacher or a troupe leader being an eel in the first place.
Mytho, Ahiru, and the Raven are fictives with varying levels of memory and connection to their sources. Mytho, for most of his life in the town, doesn't remember being from a story, and only starts to remember his history when Ahiru spawns and restores it.
Ahiru, as mentioned in the first post, is simultaneously a duck, a girl, and Princess Tutu, with only the latter identity being explicitly mentioned in the original story. She doesn't remember being a duck or the princess when she first spawns, but accesses Princess Tutu's powers when she needs to save Mytho and remembers shortly after that she's also a duck.
The Raven is the only one who knows and remembers being from the original story and also retains his original goal, despite being sealed away for the majority of the show.
Rue could be seen as a fragment that's given an identity by the Raven that fits alongside his role in the story; she successfully represses this identity for a while, but is forced to confront it when Ahiru finally appears, and eventually discovers that she isn't from the original story like Mytho and the Raven. I don't think I would consider her a fictive, since she's technically not from the original story, but she might consider herself one before discovering that she was adopted by the Raven after the original story was over.
Fakir could be seen as fictionkin of the Knight. The Knight died in the original story, but Fakir identifies as them, beyond being reincarnated, and strives to fulfill the same role, even when that role would lead to his death. He eventually accepts that he isn't the exact same as the Knight in the story, and doesn't have the same skills and courage, but he can still help Mytho with his own strengths.
tbh any interest I have in a depiction of plurality immediately plummets with the description of "a plural character". Like if you're describing them in singular terms I simply do not care.
[id: edited xkcd 2501. Stick figure person with ponytail hair says, “Plurality is second nature to us plurals, so it’s easy to forget that the average person probably knows multiple personality disorder got renamed dissociative identity disorder.” Featureless stick figure adds, “And people can be plural without that, of course.” “Of course,” ponytail stick figure replies. Underneath this interaction, there is a caption reading, “Even when they’re trying to compensate for it, experts in anything wildly overestimate the average person’s familiarity with their field.” /id]
"plural character" okay can we bump that up to plural characters. get multiple characters that are in the same xiblor maybe.
the "your feelings matter" meme with our usual fronters but we're all in the "murder is okay" box
There's a lot of media we simply won't engage in because we have the inkling we might gain a headmate from it, and we always have to assess:
1. if we (people who front almost daily) have the energy to interact and acclimate new people to our daily lives, and
2. if we're willing to rewatch/replay/reread their source because they tend to spawn near the end of the story and they'll inevitably want to experience their source the same way that we did.
And the answer to both of those is usually no.

Rue canonically has a dissociative disorder and you cannot convince me otherwise.
all of the fictional characters
Every fictional character is nonbinary!
