Castle Rock 1.09 “Henry Deaver”

Well what a blow minded episode I’ll try my best to do it good this time and you can understand it and as always at the end you will have my opinion on this episode. Enjoy!

SPOILERS

We can see “the kid” running in a bridge in a different city, he seems different. Then he is at what appear to be his house getting ready all dress up and he arrives at a meeting where she explains that he creates a device that it goes on the brain and can help people with Alzheimer.

After the meeting we can see him with his girlfriend/wife when he receive a call from Alan, telling him that something happen with his dad. Alan lives with ruth in a place for old people since she has Alzheimer’s. So his dad was living alone in the house in Castle Rock. His dad kill himself so he has to go to Castle Rock to check on the house and made all the arraigments.

He arrives at Castle Rock and he goes by walking from the center of the town to his house. He enters there and there’s a lot of stuff all over the house that he can’t even walk. When he goes upstairs to his room from when he was young he sees Bridget, her neighbor in the ca so he decides to go down to say hello. While he was talking to her, she didn’t recognize him but them Molly came out of the house and she says “Henry Deaver?”.

So at night they go to a club to have some beers and she told him about the town, about his father and he told her about his life in the city. They walk together at home and hug. When Henry enters the house she is talking to her girlfriend/wife because they are trying to have a baby and she is late, so he gets excited. He turn on the lights but the the fuse goes off, he doesn’t know where it is, he finds a flashlight so he goes around the house to the basement, there he found it and turn it on. When he turns around he found a little boy in a cage.

He calls the police and they came to rescue the boy, Molly is with him. The little boy while in the ambulance try to run to the woods but a police officer got him. The next morning Hnery goes around the house again and he found a recorder that her father had, 1437 was the one in there, he goes and tries to find the rest of the tapes, they aren’t in the house so he goes to the garage where he found two boxes of tapes. He start to hearing them and you could hear her father talking about accidents ocurring in the town, about curses, and about the kid that it was in the cage. Henry goes to the woods in the back of the house because of the noise his father hear but he couldn’t and to try and understand everything.

He shows the tapes to Molly and both of them decide to go totalk to the boy but when they arrive to the hospital it was on fire and they blame the kid for it so he is in the police station so they decide to go there and to talk to the kid. Molly talks with someone there and they let them since Henry is a doctor. When the three of them, Molly, Henry and the kid are together in a room, they ask the kid what is his name on what he answer “Henry... Matthew... Deaver...” He tells the story in the hospital and how ithe kid next to him couldn’t understand, Molly asks why he couldn’t undertstand and the kid touch his chest and then starts to hear the noises and touch his head because it hurts. Then Molly touch his hand to calm him down and she see everything 27 years later, all what happen and how the Henry who was next to her was in a cage all that years later.

Molly tells Henry that they have to take the kid and bring him with them. She talks to the police and they do but with one officer always with them. While they’re waiting for a train to pass by, Molly says that they have to bring the kid to the woods, that they have to go there. So before the train pass and to avoid the police officer behind them she cross before the train and then she gain some time.

They arrive to the woods and little Henry starts to run, so do Molly following him, so do adult Henry follow them. In a place kid Henry stops and sees a woman but in another time, Molly touch him and she can see everything too, a lot of things going on but in different times. The police officer is follow them and he shot to the air to warn Molly to stop but she shot her instead, adult Henry then touch her and he can see it all, he walks and then she sees how Alan found kid Henry, he is now 27 years later.

The episode end in the moment episode 8 end with Molly and “the kid” now known as Henry Deaver. And all the episode was him telling her the story on what he ask “Do you belive me?”

Well, what an episode right? I think it is very interesting know the story of how “the kid” was found in the cage in the prison finally. One of my theories got prove in this episode and it is that there’s other timelines and somehow both Henrys were cought up in other times that weren’t theirs. It explpain too the question of why “the kid” never age and it is beause he is in a wrong time, it also could explain why Ruth though that it was her husband, since in other timeline he is the children of both so he could appear like his father. Also it could be that they were in cages to “save” the town since only when they went out all the accidents occur. But there are still doubts, how they can go and make everything right, what happen with “the kid” life in the city after his disapearance, what happen to Wendell, do he hear the noise? There’s only one episode left and I’m bittersweet, I want it to end to know whtt’s next but also I don’t because this show is jus incredible and Bill is exceptional, nice to see him in a normal character.

Sharp Objects 1.07 “Falling”

I start this blog by talking about the incredible and, probably a surprise this summer season, Sharp Objects.

Before getting into the last episode I would like to talk and give my opinion on the series itself.

As I said before, I think it was a surprise, we knew from the trailers that it would be good, but, in my opinion, it is one of the best of the year.

What I like the most it is the cinematography is incredible. The soundtrack fits very well with every moment of the episode. The cast does such a great job specially Amy Adams and Eliza Scanlen, I think they are incredible playing sisters and having this good/bad relationship. For some it can be slow but I don't think that is something wrong because the editing is great done and it gives you more mystery.

The episodes hooked you since minute one for the mystery, the suspense, the flashbacks to Camille's (Amy Adams) young time which are shown in the perfect moment and time.

Sharp Objects was done as a 8 part series, but who knows if we've gonna get a second season. Now let's get into the episode, shall we?

Sharp Object 1.07 “Falling”

The first scene we see is Camille enters one of the rooms downstairs and looking Amma's house dolls which is a replica of the house they're living in and out of the sudden it lights up.

Then she wakes up and she sees her mom in the chair in the corner. Camille has a bad ankle after the party she has with Amma the night before, so her mom brought her ice and breakfast. Also, she thanks her for taking her of Amma. Camille was about to get up, but her mom doesn’t let her so she pulls her down and then there’s a quick flashback to Camille’s childhood. But Camille refuses to stay in bed so she gets up to go to work anyway.

After a little scene between the chief and Jackie, they brought us back to the house where Camille is talking to Amma. They talk about their mum and how she likes that her childs are sick to take care of them and how she gives them “the blue”. Amma also tell her that John is going to be arrested that day.

Then the detective goes looking for a nurse in regard of Marian.Meanwhile Camille’s pass by Ashley’s house where the police is looking for John and also searching the house where they live, then Ashley helps the chief.

We are back to themedical center where the nurse is telling the detective Marian’s records and how she believes she died because of Adora, because she suffers for Münchausen by proxy.

Adora is entering Amma’s room with the server and the blue bottle and make Amma get in bed. Then Amma tells her that she is no sick just hangover and Adora blames Camille for it, saying that she is a bad influence as she was for Marian, Amma defends her. But Adora makes her go to bed because if she doesn’t need her anymore then she can do all by herself, then Amma goes to bed.

The chief and the detective have a little chat about John getting arrested and Marian’s dead. Camille is looking for John so she goes to a Mexican bar where he is and they talk because he knows he is gonna be arrested. Camille asks him if he did kill Natalie then he tells her a story about how he did it and end it saying “see I can tell stories too.”. Then he falls apart and cried because of how much he misses her sister. John then says “I didn’t kill Natalie” of what Camille answer “I know.”

John compliments Camille and then both leave the bar while John asks if he goes by himself to the station. Camille helps him since he is drunk and he says he doesn’t care what happen to him since he is dead since the day Natalie dies. Then he says to Camille that she is too of what she answer “Fuck you” and he says “prove you are not dead”

The detective goes to the hospital and asks for Amma’s records and he gets surprise for all is in it and how Adora can be doing the same she did to Marian to Amma. At the same time he gets a message from the chief Vickery. John and Camile go to a motel while the chief is going there too since John was seeing there.

Back in the house again, Amma’s friends want to see her but she doesn’t allow them to get in and after closing the door and make sure they left she goes to check on Amma. They have a talk there and Amma asks “what do you think I’m gonna be when I grow up?” to what her mum respond “I don’t know there’s still many years for that” and Amma goes “or I won’t grow up? That’s why you want me to stay little? so I’ll be like Marian?” Adora says she is like Marian but Amma respond “You can’t never be as good as someone dead” Then Adora gives her “the blue”

In the motel John sees Camille’s scars and he asks if he can see them, so he starts to take Camille’s sweater off, then the pants and starts to read out loud what the scars say. Then John stars to kiss her legs and they cry and they start to make love when the chief and the detective get in to arrest John.

In the house Adore is making more “the blue” while her husband asks her how Amma is and after answer she kicks him out. Upstairs Amma leaves her room and goes to Camille’s to use her laptop what she can’t then she finds the files from the murders and she goes back to her room. We have now a little flashback who shows young Camille lay down in bed face down while her mother rubs her back and then we see John rubbing Camille’s back and kissing her. And they talk about how Camille’s mom never gives up on his sister.

The police and the detective enter the room to arrest John. The detective can’t believe that Camille had sex with John. So he stays to talk to her, they argue, she tells him John didn’t do it while Richard say that he was studying her because she is fascinating. He is about to leave but Camille doesn’t let him but he leaves anyway calling her “drunk and slut”.

Camille finds in her car a folder which Richard left there with information about her, some autopsies results and one file about Jackie. So then Camille goes to Jackie’s house. The files were applications of information on Marian’s dead made by Jackie but they always were denied to her. Camille asks her what is that she was looking and Jackie asks her back what is that she remember about Marian’s funeral and she answers that she only remember her, seeing her. Then Camille finds out that Marian was cremated. While Jackie is talking Camille have some thoughts which we can see and some flashbacks as well. Jackie confirms that “the blue” was given to Marian and that it was bad for her. Camille gets angry and leaves and while she is driving she calls Curry and tell him that her mother did it and he wants that she comes back but she want to stay to take care of Amma.

Adora goes to Amma’s room with “the blue” again and give it to her and then she throw up and crawls to her mum crying. The chief is driving when he sees Amma’s friends and they tell them that she is sick and her mom doesn’t let her out. Back in the house we see Alan hearing music while some flashbacks come out and then we see, while Camille is enter the house, Amma with a flower crown in the corridor.

As all the other episodes this one was very intense. We finally know more about Camille and his family and what happen with Marian and who knows if with the other girls. As always everything was getting you into suspense and mystery and with one episode left you still have some doubts and questions. I personally can’t wait to see the finale and what it will bring us.
