A night of studying had soon turned into a night of not studying, and now Frank was blinking the sleep out of his eyes, the sun shining through a crack in carelessly shut curtains. It took a moment to register the weight on his chest and what it was, who it was, but another blink and the dark hair was easily tied to Alice, her head resting on his chest, their legs entwined in a tangle of sheets. It was nice, he thought, to be waking up with her there. As he took her in, Bas’ words flickered to the for-front of his mind. Don’t fuck it up. There was no way he would, or could, he felt. Things right now were good, the way they were felt solid. Different, but it still felt like them.
At some point of being caught up in this thoughts, his hand had moved to the top of Alice’s back, fingers lightly running patterns across her bare skin. A small smile crossed his face as her eyes flickered open. “Morning,” he spoke up, voice soft.
