DEVILLE GEN 1 UPDATES | ALICE DEVILLE
I interrupt Harrison’s story to give an update on one of the mains from Gen 1! I’m hoping to continue this with other key players in the generations (regardless of whether or not they’re DeVilles) just so everyone gets a glimpse at what’s going on for the rest of the gang!
It’s been about a year since we last saw Alice, Harrison’s older sister. Since then, she’s been living her life in sunny Sulani, working to help clean up the island and study the oceans. She’s not alone, however. Along the way, she reconnected with an old high school friend: Kacie Bheeda, the only daughter of Arun and Jesminder Bheeda (who just so happen to be Harrison’s neighbors). One thing led to another and the two were inseparable and within only 6 months of romantically pursuing each other they eloped.
Kacie works as a chef, following in the footsteps of her mixologist mother, and hopes to open her own restaurant some day. The couple adopted their first dog together, Chandler, but Kacie’s always been more of a cat person so they also adopted little Missy as well.
And in recent times, the first Bheeda-DeVille grandchild was welcomed to the family! After months of waiting for a response, Alice and Kacie were finally approved to adopt little Louis, who has quickly become their whole world. They hope to adopt and/or have via surrogacy at least one more child so that Louis can have a sibling.
The DeVille family went on in the night, coping with the news in different ways. While putting on a strong front, Harrison swore he could hear quiet crying from inside of his parents’ bedroom after Vicente went to sleep. He could hear the quick typing on Alice’s laptop, with her muttering things about legal issues that could help. Elizabeth stayed on the couch with Pepper, quietly reassuring her mother’s dog that she would be back soon.
Harrison coped the only way he knew how: with physical activity. With every punch, he can feel this strange new feeling inside of him. The feeling of a calm storm swirling inside of him.
His mother committed murder... but she did it to save someone she cared about. Octavia would have been killed if Nathalie didn’t step in and turn the knife on Annabella. Sometimes, desperate times call for desperate measures.
He knows fully well that his mother is a hero. It doesn’t matter to him what anybody else says.
DeVille’s In Love
Dinner is served, and full of catch-up conversations.
Elizabeth has plans to audition to be part of a brand new reality TV show, The Plumbob. She says that the whole concept of the show is that all contestants communicate with each other through social media without meeting face-to-face.
Meanwhile, Alice and Kacie have been busy with looking into surrogacy to have a second child. They’re hoping that by the time Louis turns 3, they’ll at the very least be pregnant.
Vicente reveals that he plans on retiring soon so that they can travel the world together. They have no intention of selling the house, however.
“So, Kaya, Harrison,” Nathalie starts after hearing everybody else’s catch-ups. “What’s in store for you two, if I may ask?”
“Oh!” Kaya seems to be caught off guard by the sudden attention onto the pair. She looks at Harrison nervously and smiles. “Um.. well, we’re definitely going to be very busy with work. I’m sure you’ve heard already about what’s going on in the city. Its sorta everywhere, I’ve heard.”
“Oh of course, I figured that already.” She chuckles. “But what about for you two in your lives, not in the workplace?”
