@Alice || Returning to Wonderland
It was strange- strange being back in Bayview after being so gone for so long. The same cold, stone walls that Aslo used to stare at, lean upon, and press upon were now so unfamiliar, though they were still the same grey walls. Bayview hadn’t changed one bit, but Aslo had. He was struggling. After three months stuffed in a padded cell, he was driven absolutely mad- madder than he was before and it wasn’t the good kind of mad either. He was going crazy on the inside, his mind constantly flashing to memories of sitting alone in that white room, hands tied behind his back via straight jacket. On the outside, he was jittery, his eyes wide and accentuated with dark rings that identified long sleepless nights, but he tried to keep sane- tried to keep cool. The only thought that kept him holding on was Alice.
Oh how he missed her. He missed her smile- her voice- her faint scent that he could happily drown in. He missed her. So the moment he arrived back in Bayview, he went straight to the gameroom expecting his friends- especially Alice to be there. It was unfortunately empty at the time, though all the games were running. He didn’t stop to look at them. Instead, Aslo ran to the center of the room, slowly taking a look around, eyes narrowed, arms outstretched as if ready to hug Alice when she materialized out of the blue- but she wasn’t there. His smile was immediately wiped clean off his face. He stumbled back a bit, his eyes turning toward the door. “Miss Alice…?” He called out, his lip quivering a bit. Was she hurt? Was she taken away too? Oh how Aslo begged the stars that she was okay, but he could only wait. Not even the sound of his favorite games soothed his aching heart. He needed his queen. He needed Alice.
