1. Why did you first start writing? Not just your current project, but in general.
Well my teacher told us to write a story as a project in elementary school. I’d been making up stories in my head for a long time, but writing them down was a whole new world for me.
2. What do you tend to notice the most about your writing while your writing it?
I notice my dialogue. It’s my favorite thing to write, because it can show so much personality.
3. If you had to write a single genre for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
Sci-fi. I like it because it tends to have more rules than genres like Fantasy.
4. What are your favorite things to describe in writing?
A person’s laugh. That and just how a person act in a free moment of time. Jace staring into space, twiddling with his pencil, Hazik scribbling in their notebook, tentacles flicking every once in awhile. That’s the fun stuff. I like seeing how people are in their most peaceful, happy moments.
But I also like describing people at their breaking points. The shaking fists and flashing eyes and the breaking of someone’s voice. That is also, the fun stuff.
5. What elements do your favorite characters tend to share? (Not just in your own writing, but in general.)
Oh boy. Here we go: Dark-haired person with a sad past, they probably wear red, and probably have some sort of distinctive scar or marking. Can be angsty or freakin hilarious, or BOTH. Some characters that fit this: Zuko (A:TLA), Keith Kogane (Voltron), Steven Universe, Garnet (Steven Universe), Peter Parker (Marvel), Tony Stark (Marvel), Kratos/Atreus (God of War), Harry Potter, Jace (Alien Roommate).
Of course not all of my favorite characters fit this, but quite a few do, lol.
6. What’s something you wish you would have known about writing when you started?
That over-planning can make you lose interest. I have one story that I know would be fantastic, but I over planned it and lost interest. I plan to take it up again at some point, but it’s a bit difficult.
7. What’s one thing you wish you would have kept from back when you first started writing?
I feel like I was able to come up with stories left and right, without really trying. Maybe it’s because I’m more focused on my WIP now, or maybe I don’t have as much inspiration around as I did when I was young, but I feel like the stories don’t come as easily or as frequently as they used to.
8. Do you like any of your old writing?
I like the ideas. I like most of my old characters. The actual plot is garbage I could light that on fire and not bat an eye, but the characters and basic idea? That’s still pretty good.
9. What do you think of writing ‘rules’?
As long as I can understand what the hell is happening, and you’ve got your grammar under control, write whatever you want dude.
10. What’s something that really encourages you as a writer?
Someone out there likes my stuff. There’s gonna be at least one person who thinks my stuff is great. I might not know who it is yet, but I’m writing for that person.
11. Have some positivity you’d like to pass onto your fellow writers?
Someone out there likes your stuff. Someone will look at that thing you’ve been working on for forever and be like “WOAH THIS IS SO AWESOME”, and you’re gonna feel like a freaking god. Might not have happened yet, or maybe it hasn’t happened in a long time, but it’ll happen. *Dory voice* Just keep writing, Just keep writing, Just keep writing, writing, writing...

My questions to you are:
1. Have any of your OCs ever stolen something? What did they steal, and why?
2. Did you ever have imaginary friends as a kid? What were they like?
3. Do any of your OCs have a favorite article of clothing? Why is it their favorite?
4. What do you fist develop about a character when you make one up? Do you think of their appearance first? Their personality? Their backstory?
5. Fluff or Angst?
6. Remember the color of that dress that everyone was debating about however many years ago? The one that was blue and black, or white and gold? What colors did you see?
7. Pick your bubbliest, happiest OC. Now tell me what will make them turn into your worst nightmare. I wanna see what makes them the angriest.
8. Now pick your angstiest, most emo OC. And tell me what would make them blush and giggle like an idiot. I wanna see what makes them the happiest.
9. If you could have any mythical creature for a pet, what would it be?
10. What’s your go-to thing for when you’re hungry but don’t have time/energy to cook something?
11. Do any of your OCs have scars? Would they be confident enough to show them in public (like at the beach)?
Okay so I have to find: Laugh, pages, adult, and drop
Laugh
Jace nodded, his temple still rested on her shoulder. “Alright. Cool,” she said. “Let’s start over.” Kita made a “brroooooop” sound like a rewinding tape, and waggled her arms around making Jace laugh weakly. She turned her head down to look at him and asked in a mock-formal voice, “Good evening Jay. How was your day?”
“It was good,” he answered. He lifted his head, and looked into her eyes, smiling. “Amazing, actually.”
Pages
“Oh, don’t ask me,” replied Jace, “I haven’t done any of the reading homework. I just have Kita give me a summary of the chapter we read before class.”
“You know, it’s a lot easier to just read it.”
“If it was easier, I would be doing it. But alas, it is not.” Jace put the book on his face for a moment, his eyelashes brushing the pages of the book and causing Axis to laugh.
“Who says ‘alas’ anymore?”
“Me,” said Jace, his face still inside the book.
“You sound like Shakespeare. Maybe you should dress up as Caesar for Halloween.”
“If I ever do that,” Jace said, as he dropped the book down again, and looked at Axis in mock seriousness, “promise me you’ll stab me in the back, because that’d a fantastically tragic joke, and is definitely how I’d like to die.”
Adult
None. Funny how the word adult is never mention despite how both of the main characters are in fact, adults.
Drop (technically ‘dropped’)
“AAAAGGGGHHHH!!!” The scream startled Jace so badly he dropped the jar of jam and his pencil. He threw his hands up, as if blocking a blow to his head, and the jam jar landed with a loud thud on the linoleum floor, along with his pencil. Jace took a moment to recover, before snatching his pencil off the floor and speeding to Hazik’s door.
People I’m tagging + words to find, are under the cut!
I was tagged by @alexis-writes-sometimes. Thank you!!!
Jace Vaughn: Bisexual, but leans towards women. Cisgender. He’s dated a few girls and a guy before in college, but he hasn’t felt a spark with any of them. He’s loved Kita for a long time, but every time he tried to get over her, he felt as though he were using someone else to sort out his problems. Eventually he decided to take a break from dating and try figuring it out by himself
Hazik Phustis: Aro/Ace, Nonbinary. Hazik always thought relationships were cute, but they didn’t ever feel the need to be in one. They prefer platonic intamacy. Hugs and cuddles are nice, but nothing more. And while Hazik is Nonbinary, they are technically NOT trans because they were assigned Nonbinary at birth. (or rather, they weren’t assigned anything, and the whole idea of gender is weird to them)
Kita Mills: Pansexual, Cisgender. Kita has dated a few different people, gals, guys, and otherwise, but she’s actually liked Jace for awhile. Though not quite long as Jace has liked her; she wasn’t sure for a long time if what she was feeling was a romantic or platonic love.
🦋 If your OC could change everything (or just something) about their life would they? What would they change? What do they think would happen if they did? What would their loved ones think?
Kita wouldn’t change much. She would want to change more of the things that are around her. Make other things work in her favor, rather than being able to change herself. She’d probably change things like, make college cheaper, make the world more accepting of different people, make her friends’s lives better rather than her own. Kita likes herself, she likes her life, and doesn’t need it to change.
🍂 What are their opinions on the different seasons? Which one do they hate and which one do they love and why?
Hazik likes all the seasons, because seasons don’t really exist on Uswarvis. Seasons on Earth are caused by Earth’s tilted axis, but Uswarvis’s axis isn’t tilted, so seasons don’t exist there.
Jace likes winter the best. Nice and cold, and it’s Christmas time!
💐 Does your OC like flowers? What are their favourites? Do they keep a garden of some sort? What flowers would they use in a flower crown? (and if you like, research the meanings behind those flowers!)
Hazik loves flowers! Their favorites are tulips, especially the multi-coloured ones. They would probably just make a crown out of the biggest, prettiest flowers, ones like roses and tulips and things like that (idk a lot about flowers)
Jace likes forget-me-nots, for no reason really. He’d probably make a flower crown out of dandelions or daisies, just because it’s nice and simple.
