A wip intro that’s far too late
So I never technically made a wip intro for AR, so here it is. I’ll add my tag list under the cut since there’s stuff on here that you all probably don’t know :]

Character Intro
Name: Hazik Phustis
Age: 70 in Uswarvis years, about 25 in Earth years
Appearance: Dark brown skin, with black, dread-like tentacles falling from their head down their back and across their shoulders. They are actually missing one of their tentacles, but it’s only noticeable if you’re looking for it. The tentacles turn hot pink at the tips, and they often wear robes that reach their ankles. Their eyes change color based on how they’re feeling.
Likes: Learning, traveling, their friends
Dislikes: liars, muddy places, the smell/taste of blood
Quotes:
“I think humans are just trying to come up with different ways to have bread with sugar on it.”
“You know, I am not really from around here…”
“Jace you are the only person I know on Earth, so no, I do not have plans.”
Tag List is below the cut! Let me know if you want to be added or removed!
You know I’m not really from around here...
Chapter 3: Scene 1
Hazik
“Hey, Hazik? You home?” Jace called from the kitchen as he put down his jacket and keys. Hazik heard the creak of the refrigerator door open as it always did when Jace came home from work at the theater.
“Yes,” Hazik replied from the old chair in the living room. They stopped what they were writing as Jace walked in. “I have been working on these books you gave me.”
“Oh really? Which ones?” Jace said, a sandwich in his hand.
“I have been alternating between the writing and reading. I know the alphabet now.”
“That’s great!”
“It’s childish,” Hazik said sharply.
“What?”
“It’s childish. I feel… <what’s that word…>” Hazik said in Bashosilish. Jace had been a little freaked out the first time they said more than one word in their native language. He said it wasn’t quite what he expected it to sound like, but he liked it. “Idiotic,” Hazik finished.
“What, for not knowing how to read?” Jace said with a little chuckle as he bit into his sandwich.
“Yes.”
“Well it’s not like it’s your fault,” Jace said, sitting down with a sigh on the couch across from them. “You didn’t have time, remember? And I’ll help you! Don’t worry, it takes practice, but you’ll get there.” Jace smiled warmly at them, and Hazik felt their eyes shift to a happy green. They put the books on the floor beside them, as they had yet to buy a coffee table.
“So how was work?” they asked, the happiness now accompanied by interest.

Scene 3
After unloading all the groceries the two had dinner, which was something Jace called a spaghetti, which was a long string food covered in a sticky red substance that Hazik assumed must be some sort of animal blood.
“What now?” Hazik said, after finishing their spaghetti. Jace looked up from a piece of paper he was reading and his eyes followed Hazik as they got up from the counter and put away their dishes.
“Well, we do need to unpack your things…” Jace said with a sigh.
“I am too tired for that,” Hazik said, “We already had to unload it all into the house and then go grocery shopping, I am too drained to do any hard work.”
Jace nodded in agreement, before tilting his head back in thought. Suddenly his face lit up and he snatched his keys back up from the counter.
“Tell you what? You want to learn more about Earth right? Well, I’m gonna take you to one of my favorite places here.” He grinned and bounced up, walking to the door with a spring in his step, pocketing his writing utensil and keys. Hazik’s eyes flashed with a mix of curiousity and exicitement as the two went back to Jace’s rickety car and started to drive.

Scene 1
Hazik
“You know, when you said you weren’t from around here, I thought you meant you were from out-of-state, not off-world,” Jace said, his eyes wide.

Scene 2
“Hazik, don’t touch that. Someone else is gonna buy that and they don’t want your grubby hands all over it.” Jace pushed the shopping cart down the produce aisle, scanning the shelves. Hazik put down the fuzzy orange food they were examining, and followed him, still staring around with curious, teal eyes. They got out their notebook and began to scribble down notes.
Pride Month Tag
I was tagged by @alexis-writes-sometimes. Thank you!!!
Jace Vaughn: Bisexual, but leans towards women. Cisgender. He’s dated a few girls and a guy before in college, but he hasn’t felt a spark with any of them. He’s loved Kita for a long time, but every time he tried to get over her, he felt as though he were using someone else to sort out his problems. Eventually he decided to take a break from dating and try figuring it out by himself
Hazik Phustis: Aro/Ace, Nonbinary. Hazik always thought relationships were cute, but they didn’t ever feel the need to be in one. They prefer platonic intamacy. Hugs and cuddles are nice, but nothing more. And while Hazik is Nonbinary, they are technically NOT trans because they were assigned Nonbinary at birth. (or rather, they weren’t assigned anything, and the whole idea of gender is weird to them)
Kita Mills: Pansexual, Cisgender. Kita has dated a few different people, gals, guys, and otherwise, but she’s actually liked Jace for awhile. Though not quite long as Jace has liked her; she wasn’t sure for a long time if what she was feeling was a romantic or platonic love.
