Maribel being related only really screws Maria over though. She's not ending up with Michael (I don't think it really extends M*luca either, they probably won't make it past this season) and she's not ending up with Isobel which would have made her part of what would be the 3rd main ship. Isobel doesn't have to end up with a random guest star, Kyle is still there and they've certainly been teased at this point. Regardless of how you feel about the character, that's not great.
Yup I agree. I don’t think she will ultimately end up with Michael, but I do think this allows for it to go on and on longer than necessary.
Because now there is new restrictions on only main cast, and no extras being on set. I mean I have no clue, but I’m guessing that would extend to new characters being introduced. So who does that leave for Maria? Kyle? Isobel has Kyle, or maybe Cam? Do Gregory, Flint, Wyatt(fuck this dude) and Diego count as being welcome back when they start filming?
Now is this all very pathetic that everyone needs to have a love interest? Yes it is. I don’t think they do. I think it’s perfectly possible they could both be happily single badass women. But I can already here the outcry if Maria is single, especially if malex is together.
I think completely taking Maribel off the table is leaving both of them to only have outsider minor character love interests, that won’t receive any of the respect of two main character couples. Or...Kyle lol I love Kyle but I don’t know if see some great romance coming out him with either of them. Also it excludes them from the group, and it also poses a threat to the group as its someone too close to the secret, and forcing lies from the start.
I don’t know I just feel it was unnecessary. They could have made there be another alien out there to find...there you go plot for season 3 😁.
