Get ready for a spooky treat! These Alien Zombie Brain Eating Cake Pops are a perfect blend of creepy and delicious. Moist chocolate cake mixed with zombie green icing, coated in rich chocolate, and adorned with eerie edible eyeballs. A ghoulish delight for any Halloween or sci-fi themed party.
Ingredients: 1 box of chocolate cake mix. 1/2 cup of butter, melted. 3 eggs. 1 cup of water. 1 cup of green zombie icing. 1 cup of chocolate candy melts. 1/4 cup of red raspberry jam. 1 tablespoon of green food coloring. Edible candy eyeballs.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and grease a cake pan. In a bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and water. Mix until smooth. Pour the batter into the cake pan and bake for the time indicated on the cake mix box or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the center. Allow the cake to cool, then crumble it into fine crumbs. Add the green food coloring to the zombie icing and mix well. In a large bowl, mix the cake crumbs and green zombie icing until you get a dough-like consistency. Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Chill the cake balls in the refrigerator for about 20-30 minutes. In the meantime, melt the chocolate candy melts according to the package instructions. Dip the tip of a lollipop stick into the melted chocolate and insert it into a cake ball. Dip each cake ball into the melted chocolate, coating it completely. Allow the excess chocolate to drip off. Place the cake pops back on the parchment paper and let them set. Microwave the red raspberry jam for a few seconds until it's slightly melted. Dip a toothpick into the melted jam and use it to draw squiggly lines on the cake pops, resembling zombie brain patterns. Attach edible candy eyeballs to the cake pops using a dab of melted chocolate as glue. Allow the chocolate and decorations to set completely before serving.
