If you want to install Android 9.0 Pie on your smartphone then you came to the right place. If you are new to install custom rom on your phone. I would advice you to search google first. The difference between Custom and Stock rom. If your phone is not rooted then google “How to root #device_name”. Replace #device_name with your mobiles model number Those who have already rooted their phone just make sure you’ve the latest version of TWRP installed.

This Custom Rom and updates are provided by Lineage OS and currently there is no bug fixing for this rom because the same is not posted on xda portal. I advice you to test this rom only if the target device is secondary device. I didn’t develop this rom or any part of it. I’ve been silently tracking the work of LineageOS team and provided the link to the custom rom with install steps. Backup Everything.

I’m sharing the link to official lineage directory for Android 9.0 Pie custom rom and if your device is not listed then you can’t install android 9.0 Pie custom rom on your device.

2. If your device is not rooted then root it first and then move forward.

You must have a rooted device to install Android 9.0 Pie custom rom. If you want to root your device you can google it.

3. You must have latest TWRP installed to flash this rom.

You may brick your device because of the old TWRP installed on your device, the latest version at the time this blog was written is 3.2.3. Ensuring that you have latest TWRP can save lots of hassle and time.

4. Download links for Android 9.0 Pie custom rom.

Now click on the link provided below to download the rom. Download the zip file of size nearly around 350MB-400MB.

5. Installation steps.

1, Turn on developers settings and allow USB debugging (Don’t know how to do this then google).

2. Copy the downloaded zip file to your sd card.

3. Reboot the device into the TWRP recovery mode (Pressing power, home and volume button combination).

4. Click on Wipe and then Advanced wipe. Check these listed options

Dalvik/ART Cache.

Data

Internal Storage.

Cache

System.

Note : Please do not select the micro sd card while wiping the data or else you will loose your data.

Press Swipe to wipe and after that return back to main menu.

5. Click on Install and navigate to your sd card ( try going up a level and find directory named “external_sd”). If you still can’t find your sd card then make sure it is properly mounted.

6. Now select the zip file you’ve downloaded and swipe to flash it.

7. Reboot your device and wait (at least 5 mins) for your device to boot.

6. Install Gapps (Google Apps).

Download the gapps package supported for your device. (You can google about your device architecture then select Android 9.0 version and finally gapps package of your choice I advice you to select at least “mini”).

Now copy the file to your sd card (Don’t forget to enable usb debugging).

Go to TWRP and Click Install.

Navigate to the gapps package and Swipe to install this rom.

Now go to wipe and Clear.

7. Enjoy the rom.

You may find that this rom has lots of bugs. Try factory resetting device (same as wipe data and Cache/Dalvik cache from TWRP). If you still face issue then you can go back to the previous rom you’ve installed or stock rom.
