@justwanderingtheblog By the Gods! That was really fucking HARD. I had to overcome my personal dislikes and biases just to rank all these episodes justifiably.
I noticed AFIN 1&2 is not here but I assume the reason for that is because you don’t consider them to be part of the show. Fair. However, I would rank them in orange because they were one hell of a risk take and unique to the show. I do personally like them but prefer to watch them only through Rob’s Director’s Cut so they play like a feature film - which was the intent behind creating it.
A lot of the episodes I chose in the red top tier are in my list of my most favourite episodes of ‘Xena: Warrior Princess’, however recently, I feel like that list has extended to more than just 10 episodes because some of the episodes I’ve looked back on over the years and realized how much I do personally love watching love for how much they validate Xena and Gabrielle’s love - which is one of the main things I care about in the show.
Thanks for this. It had me really racking my brain given the way you’ve named the tiers. If it was just a straight ranking of best to worst or most to least favourite, that ranking would likely look very different. Nice job on it!
