I recently realized that AO3 changed their default settings. Originally it’s set to registered users and guests can comment, but sometime in March the default changed to registered users only. Meaning that no guests can comment if the setting is ignore.

For me it means every fic I posted after MYAH has guest commenting off. Which is 18 fics. It could be worse, but it’s still annoying. I also feel bad if anyone wanted to anonymously comment :(

With the Hermitshipper Big Bang writing coming to a close, I can finally return to working on my AUs here.

So some sneak peaks of what ideas that I’ve been getting during this:

Watcher!Scar AU: Grian learning that Scar is becoming a Watcher, Scar growing his wings, a longer Ren’s death scene

Father Spore AU: This event broke me out of my writers block so I hoped returning to this would be nice.

Limited Life Mafia AU: The revealing of 4 hybrid/non hybrid statues

Double Life Time Loop AU: More for these fics as well, love that AU but it got neglected a lot from this

And a couple new AUs have been brewing, which I might share

I do also have a few non Scarian ones, brought on by others on the HSBB discord, so… stay tuned for all of this.

After posting my main guardian au fic I got inspired to return to working on Scar’s POV of it, cause why not? Always enjoy creating alternate perspectives and it’s not like it’d be too difficult with so many scenes already existing, right?

I am quickly realizing that there’s a lot that Scar gets up to that isn’t shown and I have very much under-anticipated how much I’m gonna write for this. I didn’t really take into consideration that Scar is doing a bunch of stuff while Grian is sleeping.

I haven’t even reached Grian waking up for the first time, still got a ways to go until then actually. I thought that fic was crazy long for what I normally do, but I think this fic will top it. Don’t think I can leave it as a one shot.

I might just end up making this a full multi-chapter fic because writing all of the scenes in “Maybe We Aren’t So Different” from Scar’s perspective in addition to writing what else Scar is getting up to might be a bit overly ambitious for a one shot.

Thinking about the Evil!Watcher!Grian AU and it somehow made me think of my other Evil!Grian AU and, like, one of the first AUs I ever made for Hermitcraft/Life Series.

It’s a strange twist on the winner’s prize thoughts. Except in this the “prize” is actually the winner never losing the red life bloodlust. There was some error between their death and returning their their home worlds where they didn’t die properly. Thus they’re stuck having the red life mindset, wanting blood and chaos.

Somehow, nothing happens in this AU up until the end of Double Life, Grian managing to keep calm. I went to check the note and it’s unclear if only the winners remember or not (they do post Double Life, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

Another side effect is that they become really skilled in the methods where they perma killed a player in the past. The main one being Grian, Scott, and Pearl are now extremely skilled in PvP.

I might talk about this more later, but it got weird, so looking back on it now is strange.

I started the note for it on Augest 12th 2022 😰 I’ve been in this fandom for over a year. Time has flown by so fast.

How many references do I need for a New Scientist style article?

It's not like a report where you just do ALL DAY REFERENCES ALL OF THEM. 

Most articles are only based off one or two papers.

But that seems too small an amount.
