Today was meant to be a fun day, a time where she got to talk to her best friend freely for the whole night and have lots of fun. Yes, Ri-chan was staying over at her house, but… Yukari wasn’t really feeling the whole ‘let’s have a great time!’ kind of thing. Instead, her mind was fixated on negative thoughts which would clearly bring her mood down.
Of all times for such a feeling to come, it just had to be when she was having a sleepover. Great, this night would be very fun. For now, she would just have to act like nothing was bothering her. But then again, Aria could always see right through her; and that would lead to a problem.
All Yukari could do was try to get rid of her bad feelings. It wasn’t hard, right? Just gotta replace ‘em with happy thoughts! Since IA was staying over, then why not think of the fond memories that the two had? Maybe that would work, aha… maybe not. The thing is, Yukari came into the Vocaloid business herself, and she came first. After all, wasn’t she the one who told 1st Place about her?
No, she couldn’t be judging her /best friend/ on her status as a singer. Yes, Yukari did come first and yes Aria is more popular. She shouldn’t be jealous! More like proud, yes… She should be proud of her.
But when the very person was in the next room, brushing her teeth for the night… It was hard not to have a look of sadness, irritation, or even worse… anger on her face. It was bad, she couldn’t be holding a grudge on IA. It wasn’t right to do something like that, she needed to stop caring about status,’ it wouldn’t help or even change a thing.
If only she could stop caring.
