Kiddos, I just want to tell you that I am glad you are who you are. I am glad you are “mine” while you are my students and ever afterwards. I am proud of you when you choose kindness and love over anger and prejudice. I am proud of you when you work hard and when you admit you need a break. I am proud of you when you are courageous and silly and ridiculous and unique. Be kind to yourselves and to one another, y’all.
