I just kind of assumed he somehow WAS the sixth forteller. Because time travel.

i'm actually thinking he isn't! it looks like, in kh, you can wield a keyblade that's not yours originally, but you can't transform it or use it to make portals? and i don't think we ever see xehanort do either of those things w/the goatblade

also the xehanort's reports suggest he's normal amounts of old + actually did start out on destiny islands and shit (and i feel like it'd take more than one lifespan for everyone to think of the worlds being one as a fairytale). it's possible he's 'there' for it, via the realm of sleep, but??? there's no way he could legitimately travel back that far with the given rules, since he prob didn't exist that far back (also he wants to recreate the keyblade war to see what happened after it... i guess if there's time travel he could have seen it and forgotten when he went back to his time, but)

Do any of the trolls know each other before they get captured? I assume Kankri would technically know OF all of them, which might be really fun (and really annoying) when he actually shows up and just knows everything about everyone already. But did any of them interact? (forces you to flesh out your fic while doing no writing of my own..)

No, none of the trolls know of each other - I considered having Nepeta and Equius already be besties but nah. they’re just caught and brought in at the same time so they meet slightly before anyone else and start bonding early. 

Kankri doesn’t know of them either, actually, he’s just as hard-up as Karkat i.e. living out of more or less sheer stubborn refusal to die. Before I said that Kankri and Karkat are each others’ blind spots, but I keep oscillating between that and them being involuntarily open to each other, so as soon as Karkat starts interacting with everyone, Kankri knows them too? Or at least they can connect voluntarily, so once they call him, Karkat let’s Kankri see everything that’s happened to him in the past however-long-it-took-I-haven’t-decided. That seems good.

if you count disney interactions it was, like, barely ok as of kh1 (alice & queen of hearts) but like

kairi showing them how to pierce shells and string em together for charms? all of them painting on them together. the wonderful art of tree climbing (......... man all of their canon outfits would be awful for this except like. kairi's shoes.)

yeah, this is canon - I’m pretty sure that at least both Sora and probably Riku count as having done this as well. This might be why Yen Sid can do the test the way he does. KH3D gives no answers, only questions.

if sora and riku count then so does kairi, executive decision made by me right now

i like that kh3d was just square dropping a bunch of major plot twist bombs on the fandom and running away

yeah it’s canon that sora, riku and at least one version of xehanort can time travel (that’s how they got to the realm of sleep, by time traveling to the moment di got swallowed by darkness). kairi probably can too (also: ven??) and maybe nobodies.
