James has the tendency to isolate himself from anyone he knows, which only increases when he feels like he is in the wrong. It sometimes leads to self-destructive behaviors such as compulsive smoking.

Esme picks at her split ends. If someone is talking to her when she’s stressed she will just completely ignore them and focus on her hair. She’s done it ever since she was thirteen when she would sit in class with scissors and trim her hair. It’s a way to distract her from everything else now.
Danny rubs at his jawline and neck when he’s nervous. He doesn’t do it a lot though because he thinks it ruins his ‘cool guy’ look but he probably does it a lot around Bella.

Esme smiles with her whole face. Her eyes light up and she has a little dimple. She usually goes for a big toothy grin with a little laugh along side it.
Danny has a small closed-lipped smile done mostly with his eyes. He has a subtle dimple on his right cheek that appears when he smiles. He usually looks away from the person he’s smiling at.

Up and to the right. She bites her lip as well.
Down. He ruffles his hair too so it’s in front of his eyes and he has nothing distracting him.

Esme sleeps on her front with her arms and legs going out in every direction. When with George, she wraps her limbs around him and basically takes up the whole bed by just sleeping on top of him.
Danny doesn’t really sleep in his bed. He usually comes home late and passes out on the couch or on the armchair. He has his arm under the pillow and props it up to his head to lean on and curls up in a little ball so his legs don’t hang of the end.

Esme stands up pretty straight but she fidgets a lot. She’ll always have one leg over the other or she’ll be on her tip-toes. She holds one of her arms behind her back with the other one a lot.
Danny slouches over and leans against a wall or doorframe if there’s one near him. He keeps his chin up high though and walks with confidence even if he is hunched over.

Esme clings onto whomever she’s showing affection to. She holds hands, links pinkies, holds onto arms. She also likes to sneak up on people and hug them from behind and kiss the back of their shoulder. It’s mostly with little touches that she shows she loves someone.
Danny doesn’t show that he cares physically as much, more emotionally. If he really loves someone he tells them things about himself that he doesn’t tell anyone and it’s clear in the way he looks at them. If he really cares for someone he calls them by their name, whereas if he doesn’t like them he’ll use a pet name he uses for everyone. He also has a protective arm around someone when they’re out together if he really cares for them.
