New Forte babies in da Houzzz! After involuntarily ending up with a house chicken, and even more involuntarily falling madly in love with this special being brought down to the house because she had no chance of survival being a cross beak(top and bottoms of the beak grow in opposite directions, and not only can’t really eat but also the flock is genetically hard wired to take her out), I found myself crazy in search of info, tips & accounts and I suppose it should be no surprise that I ended up falling completely in love again(!) It takes one special human being to make this profound a connection to animals, and this delightfully upbeat beautiful British lady(the accent sealed the deal for me) @mad4hens, who has 6 of the cutest little things I’ve ever seen (have learned since that those are Seramas, an Indonesian breed, smallest chickens in the world) completely won me over. She’s naturally funny and very sweet, and her not trying just living approach broke my rarely browsing around attitude (for pure lack of time, mind you, if I’m online, I’m working) and landed on my “stopover when online” personal list, fascinated by the daily adventures of Betty, Lily and Brit Broody Bunch. @therealmracai can tell you he woke up more than once to me laughing out loud in the middle of the night… “your chickens again?” -lol sorry :-8 I just love her little routine with these tiny beings, whom I had no idea could be SUCH characters, let alone show SO much love (Tawta here even hugs me with her wings :-)) Short story long, inspired by the wonderful Maddie, I just couldn’t resist and got 3 little #seramachickens of my own. Happy to announce that today, after a lot of apprehension and fear that they might not make the trip being so small, they arrived in absolute perfection today. Excited, chirpy and spunkiest than any #chicks we’ve ever had. We also added some top lineage #ayamcemani to start our own herd of these #allblackchickens, known as the #lamborghiniofchickens, who also arrived amazingly well, chirping around insanely as happy and black as can be. So far, beyond impressed with @featherloverfarms! Now I just hope Maddie will accept to be their God(dess)Mother :-) (at Carmel Valley, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CRSz63bnU9v/?utm_medium=tumblr
